SODAKSKERSFAN20
I am having a problem with my PS3. I have been playing alot of NCAA 09 and lately after like a half hour or sometime even sooner, the Ps3 will just turn off and the green light turns red and just sits there. Is my fan out or am I just in big trouble. Any help? Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
The unit is most likely overheating. If you have it in an enclosed area take it out or it will shut down from being too hot. Quote Link to comment

Between my brother and I dynasties we probably need something like that... Most of them are around $30. If you do a lot of gaming I suggest getting one, I have one, and I rarely shut my system off. Maybe 8 hours a week. Have not had any problems at all, and I've had the system since like 2 months after the were released. One thing to watch when buying one don't by a "pass through" version like Nyko has, I haven't heard of any problems with them on the PS3 but the Passthough design caused damage to 360s. It's pretty dumb for a manufacturer to steal power from the system, MAKE SURE the intercooler you buy has it's own power source and doesn't use your ps3's cable. Quote Link to comment
tattooedhusker
yeah, like hater said, you can get them at walmart and the like for 29.99, or search ebay. I'm also in agreement with the seperate power source thing. Quote Link to comment
