DeathCultArmaggedon
Player: Cliff Harris Hometown: Fresno, CA Position: CB Height: 6'0" Weight: 170 lbs. 40 time: 4.60 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Nebraska, Arizona, Colorado, Miami (FL), Oregon, USC Favorites: Oregon, USC Rankings/Stars: Rivals: #9 CB Big Red Report: #1 CB ESPN Grade: 81 #9 CB Assessing the talent: "Harris is a dangerous returner on special teams and displays great coverage skills at corner. He is tall, rangy and long but does lack good bulk and upper-body strength. Fluid pedal and turns. Shows excellent hips, foot-quickness and stop-start skill mirroring receivers in off-man. Understands the concepts of zone defense and will properly carry routes, level off and jump the immediate threat with good anticipation skills and burst. Initial recovery speed is good. Shows excellent deep ball skills as well properly positioning himself, timing his excellent jump and utilizing his long wing span and outstanding ball skills to break up passes. Major threat in the return game with his exceptional lateral quickness, sharp change-of-direction skill and outstanding openfield vision. While he can make defenders miss as well as anyone and possesses elite body control, he does lack great top-end speed and is more quick than fast. Recovery speed could be tested at the next level versus faster Division 1 receivers on vertical routes. Upper-body strength and size is a concern when trying to press and jam today's bigger college receivers. Could struggle defending the jump ball and battling for position. Non-existent in run support from the game films we viewed. Overall, Harris is a talented athlete with playmaker potential at the next level. The big question will be whether his savvy play and elite quickness can mask his lack of explosiveness and top-end speed." - from ESPN Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 10%. Quote Link to comment

redout22
Is there anything new at all with him? Quote Link to comment
DeathCultArmaggedon
Looks doubtful for us. His top two are Oregon & USC, and he hasn't been focused at all on recruiting due to his team's current play-off run. Quote Link to comment
Ohio Pete
USC bound if he can make the grade. Quote Link to comment

Ohio Pete
Heard he was going to Oregon. Possible if the academic situation with USC can't be sorted out quicker. Just read alot saying USC is the leader right now with Oregon next, but anyway Nebraska is clearly not in it. Quote Link to comment
