WHo was the BEST NU QB ever?

Recommended Posts

Brook had heart...as a NCAA QB he was adequate at best. If he hadn't had his fatal accident, I don't know that he would even been mentioned in this conversation to be honest. He definitely didn't rank among the best QB's in Nebraska history - he only had 12 TD's and had 6 Interceptions to go with them.

Frazier

Some important facts:

Won 3 straight NCAA Championship Game MVP Awards, including being a 2 time Orange Bowl MVP.

Won 2 National Championships.

QB of the greatest team ever assembled in NCAA football (95 Huskers)

Won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award

Set the NCAA record for rushing yards by a QB in a bowl game.

1st team All American in 1995

Sporting News Offensive Player of the Year 1995

TD Club of Columbus Quarterback of the Year 1995

Big Eight Offensive Player of the Year 1995

1992 Big Eight Freshman of the Year

Sport magazine Top 10 Players of the Century

Probably holds the unofficial record for tackles broken on one run (Fiesta Bowl vs. Gators.)

Not only the best Husker QB ever, possibly one of the best NCAA QB's ever.

Only Leinart rivals him, in my opinion.

ESPN had him as the #2 all time NCAA QB, behind Elway I think....

I don't know if there is any doubt.

Touchdown Tommie Frazier is the greatest Nebraska PLAYER of All-Time, let alone QB. It could be argued that he is one of the All-Time Greatest College Players also. His record speaks for itself. His ability to take a team and carry it on his back and make clutch plays through the air or on the ground.

The TD run vs Florida in the NC game will always be my favorite Husker play ever. I still get goosebumps thinking about Pavelka's call...Touchdown! Touchdown! Tommie Fraaaziaaaa.
