Vuren
Espn is reporting that Muschamp is the coach in waiting for the longhorns, and will take over when mack brown retires. Quote Link to comment
tattooedhusker
Mack's still fairly young isn't he? I would guess he'd be around for awhile, but maybe i'm wrong. That's probably why he's one of the highest paid assistants in the game. Quote Link to comment

admo
Interesting read. I'm sure Mack will stick around for the remainder of his 8 year contract. I'm not so sure Muschamp will enjoy being that patient. If Tennessee offered me the head job and I'm Muschamp, I'd run with it in heartbeat. Quote Link to comment

I agree, waiting 8 years, possibly longer if Mack doesn't want to retire is a long time. He can be a head coach at a big school next year if he really wants to. Quote Link to comment

BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
Good for him. He and Jimbo Fisher can start their own little club. Quote Link to comment
