AR Husker Fan
A HUGE mistake. Guy wins and wins consistently. He's beaten Alabama 6 straight years before this year. He leads them to the cusp of a national championship. What more could they want???? Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
He wont stay unemployed long. Quote Link to comment
papersun87
I did a double-take when this came on earlier. Six years, consistent success with the exception of this year? What is Auburn thinking? Especially with so many programs looking for head coaches this offseason. Edit: Ten years. My bad. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
He wont stay unemployed long. I bet KSUcks would like to have him now.............. Quote Link to comment
papersun87
Maisel wrote a good article about this on ESPN.com. Mirrors my thoughts. Quote Link to comment
Street Novelist
one bad season and they fire him...what is the world coming to? Quote Link to comment
Army Husker
Talked to some people down here in Alabama, and they aren't too happy about that one either... Quote Link to comment
Husker Runner
Wow...Amy Enzminger and Donna Dunn, wives of fired Auburn OC Steve Enzminger and D-Line coach Don Dunn, called into a radio sports talk show and told the stories of how they found out about the firings (Enzminger was in a recruit's home). Amy also accused Nick Saban of buying players. Brutal. LISTEN HERE Click on the "Amy Call1" MP3. Quote Link to comment
CENTEXHUSKER
From this STORY, Tuberville resigned........ Quote Link to comment
Husker Runner
From this STORY, Tuberville resigned........ Auburn is not paying the $5.1 million buyout just because they felt it was the "right thing to do". LOL. That's just comical. Remember when Auburn flew in Bobby Petrino to interview for a non-vacant head coaching position? Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Yeah, he resigned because he was basically forced to. Quote Link to comment
HuskerKing130
Firing Tubberville is an incredibly dumb move. He's the best they're gonna get... Quote Link to comment
Husker Runner
Unless they hire Mike Leach. Quote Link to comment
saniflush
Yeah, he resigned because he was basically forced to. The general belief down here is that Tuberville and his wife are having some difficulties and he did in fact step down in order to deal with that. If this is not the case I am sure it will come out. It always does. Our AD is a buffoon at best. I would look for Tuberville to be the AD in a year or two. Quote Link to comment
