zoogs
I still pronounce it HEY-loo soemtimes, even though it's supposedly more like Huh-LOO? I remember the TV announcers for the VT game mentioned something about the pronunciation of his name, but don't recall what it was. It's not a straightforward name to pronounce by any means. HuskerfaninOkieland
Remember how many times announcers flubbed Suh's first name? I wonder how many classes these guy had to attend to learn how to properly say his name. Quote Link to comment
huskerguy
No crap, he kept saying "Hell-You" Quote Link to comment

Landlord
Who cares? I have mispronounced tons of players' names before, including our own. It took me two years to figure out how Amukamura (sp?) was pronounced, and I used to say "HEY-loo" as well. Quote Link to comment

It took me two years to figure out how Amukamura (sp?) was pronounced, and I used to say "HEY-loo" as well. Took me awhile to get Ndamukong's name down, so I just always called him Suh until I could do it right. I love his name though, simply for the pleasure it brings me to see sports analysts screw it up. One of my favorites: "En-du-make-in" Quote Link to comment
