Then again, we could just do like Texas did with Colt McCoy, throw him out there as a freshman, let him get the crap beat out of him, and see how tough he is. If he survives, and the O-line finally gets their crap together, he'll do great. If he can't take it, we just look for another QB, right?

.....It's not that crazy to play a freshmen.... look at Barkley and remember a guy named tommie frazier. I know Green is neither but youngs guys need to be thrown in there sometimes. And it may send a message to the other players that change is needed.

The protection was solid. Time in the pocket is not the issue. Brendan Stai even said the pass blocking was good this game other than the sack play. Lee doesn't progress through reads. That's his main problem, and it's a BIG one. He is missing open receivers every other play. Whatever psychological issue Lee has in real games, it's not going to go away.

Green doesn't need to be a hero. Pick up a few first downs, give us a threat to complete balls down the middle of the field, give us a bigger threat on the zone read. Twenty points will keep us in any game. Let the defense do the rest. There is no reason, even with inconsistent WRs and a questionable playcaller, that we shouldn't be able to put up 20 points on every team we play. Green can help enough to make it happen. It's absolutely time to pull the trigger. We are going into a game against the worst Big 12 team on our schedule. We burned his redshirt and there isn't a single great team remaining on our schedule. Even OU. You think Green is going to be intimidated and eaten up by Kansas State or CU?

Or your send a message to the players that they better not take any chances, otherwise they will be thrown to the wolves. These aren't pro's...they are going to screw up. They can also get hurt...physically or mentally.

Exactly. The debat is actually hyping up Green more than anyone intends to. We are not saying he's the next Tommie Frazier. We're just saying he's the next guy on the QB depth chart!
