HuskerMoon
I think my favorite Halloween moment was when then 3rd string QB Monte "The Count" Christo was dressed up like "Count Dracula" on Huskervision in his first career Start for Nebraska in a hard fought losing effort over Texas in 1998. The only loss Nebraska ever suffered on Halloween. 1998: 16-20 Loss at home to Texas 1992: 52-7 Home win over #8 Colorado 1987: 42-7 Road win over Missouri 1981: 31-15 Home win over Kansas 1970: 29-13 Road win over Colorado 1964: 9-0 Home win over Missouri 1959: 25-21 Home win over #19 Oklahoma 1953: 9-0 Home win over Kansas 1942: 14-7 Road win over Kansas 1936: 20-0 Home win over Missouri 1931: 10-7 Road win over Missouri 1925: 12-0 Home win over Oklahoma 1914: 20-7 Home win over Iowa State 1908: 11-8 Road win over Iowa 1903: 17-6 Road win over Iowa 1896: 18-8 Home win over Nebraska Weslyan 1891: 28-4 Home win over Doane All time Halloween Record 16-1 Quote Link to comment

captain obvious
Every time I hear/read about some long standing record for ol' NU, I brace myself to have it SHATTERED TO PIECES the coming Saturday. Quote Link to comment
HuskerMoon
It's not a long standing record.. The last Halloween game was a L. There is no streak to break. Quote Link to comment
ICT HSKR 10
It's not a long standing record.. The last Halloween game was a L. There is no streak to break. On the contrary, I'd like for Nebraska to end their 1 game losing streak on Halloween by taking out some frustration on Baylor! Quote Link to comment

sewardite4NU
The last Halloween game was just a bad day. It was my first ever Husker game, I was 8, and I got yelled at for standing up so I could see over the players because I was in about the 4th row. We lost to friggin' (unranked I think) Texas, and Ricky Williams won the Heisman...ugh. I didn't even want to go trick-or-treating. Quote Link to comment

It was Tommie Frazier's 1st home start and the game was on ESPN. Both Nebraska and Colorado were ranked 8th in the polls. We hadn't beaten CU for three years straight, actually we tied them 19-19 the previous year. CU had the ball first and our defense intercepted Koy Detmer on the first play of the game, then our offense scored!!! It was all over after that, the Husker's rolled on Halloween, it was a blast of a game. I believe it was about the end of the 3rd quarter beginning of the 4th and the whole crowd started chanting, WE WANT MORE, WE WANT MORE!!! I swear it sounded like thunder. 52-7 Nebraska. That student tickets are $37 or Doc called? Doc had a recorded message that called all student cell phones. Quote Link to comment

Yeah, that was a great game and the crowd was the loudest I ever heard at Memorial Stadium. Wasn't their a snowstorm before the game if I remember right. It was freaking cold but worth it to see CU go down. Quote Link to comment

I have numerous picture I took during the game, the best are the ones afterwards. We were in the south endzone and I have great shots of the goal posts coming down. Quote Link to comment
