I am one of the old guys. That was a heck of a long time ago with a lot of water under my bridge. Just like now I cheer the team and dont pay too much attention to much except who is playing or how well. By the way the garter thing was a joke I dont think any of those guys back then would have worn one. The rose is definitely in front that much I do remember :lol:

The "NU" logo was first used during Nebraska's appearance in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama at the end of the 1966 season. for the most part, the "NU" was replaced with just an "N" in 1970, but some players on the team were still using the "NU" as late as 1971 which caused some division amoung the team
