carlfense
Truman, I'm being utterly truthful right now. The reality is that this defense could be better next year than it was this year. I'll provide a breakdown why I say that if you want, but that's the honest truth. That's hard to believe . . . but the Pelini's sure seem to believe it. I'm sure they know the situation far better than I do. I'd love to see your breakdown. Quote Link to comment
Judoka
Would've rather had a win. The Huskers are used to a lack of respect and that's fine with me...so long as you fear us. Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
I have a hard time believing we'll be better defensively next year. I think people overlook the sheer importance of Suh. We know how good he is, but I don't think we quite realize how he impacts the rest of the defense as well. I do think though that our secondary should be better, but I don't know if it will show without the pressure Suh brings at the line. We have good potential there and great players, but it's hard to replicate a player like Suh. He makes the rest of the line look that much better and I'm afraid there may be some drop off in pass rush. We'll definitely be good, top 15 or 20, but maybe not quite as good as this year's. Always glad to be wrong though. Quote Link to comment
irafreak
Let's see... Asante and Thenarse ohanlan Dillard Turner and Suh Those are some big losses in the D. Our corners are still there but Dillard was our best linebacker. I think we can say we have the Pelini factor (ability to coach the D up for the big games!) Quote Link to comment
BaytownHusker
Everyone is bitching about Asante but i havent seen one thing about our Kicker kicking it out of bounds!!! Quote Link to comment

Count 'Bility
I am not sure I am going to miss Asante. His bone headed play was one of the reasons they got into FG position last night. There is no doubt he can and wants to hit, but he is not the smartest player on the field at times. Yep, he shouldof just let shiply go and score a td, then there woulda been time for our offense to go out and make a fool out of himself again, then musberger coulda blown his load in his pants about the mccoy hiesman moment he just saw. Oh i forgot Quote Link to comment

That's because everyone love Adi, and no one wants to take away our reason for takin a shoe off at every home game before the kickoff. Quote Link to comment
