sarge87
Capt. Phil Harris of Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch fame had died from complications from a stroke aboard the Cornelia Marie while offloading their catch. Harris was 53. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Not surprising, but still too bad, he was my favorite out of all of them. Sig's a jerk, but he's my favorite now because he doesn't play around. Quote Link to comment
808Husker in KCMO
Was a matter of time. Hopefully, they werent filming. Quote Link to comment
dizzturbedNUfan
I saw that yesterday. That sucks. Sig may be a jerk, but if I wanted to get paid it would be his boat that I work on. Quote Link to comment
TXHSKR
Cornelia Marie crew was always entertaining. Phil will be missed! Quote Link to comment
I See Red People
man, that totally sucks! Quote Link to comment
Drowning_in_the_Sea_of_Red
Man, that's awful. The show won't be the same without him. The Hillstrands on the Time Bandit are my favorite though. They always crack me up. Especially when they hooked up an old wrecked truck to one of the Cornelia Marie's pots. That was awesome. HuskerNCo
Love that show. Rest in peace Phil. You made me laugh and were a hell of a Captain. Sig is kind of arrogant but the man brings in the $$$ and the Northwestern looks like a hell of a ship. Anyways...absolute hell of a way to make a living. Phil will be missed. Quote Link to comment
sarge87
Phil will be missed. I also feel bad for his two boys. Even though their family looks dysfunctional most of the time, you could see they really cared about their old man, and him about them. Quote Link to comment

HuskerfaninOkieland
Was a matter of time. Hopefully, they werent filming. They were filming for this years season. I guess it's Opelio season. It'll be interesting to see how things play out. Hate hear he died, but as was mentioned, it was just a matter of time. Quote Link to comment

Sig's a jerk, but he's my favorite now because he doesn't play around. Couldn't agree more. I love Captain Phil simply because he worked extremely hard at what he did, but he also gave us a taste of just what great guys they are by having two of his sons on board with him. I feel especially sorry for his sons. Quote Link to comment
