Kid looks impressive. The first to runs on the vid are a great way to start. He is a little tall (not too bad), but that actually gives him long strides so his top end speed is higher. If he's in a foot race he will win 9/10 times. Really needs to work on lowering his running height. Since he is tall that will hurt him in D-1, but if he can lower his pad level until he is in the open and can put on full throttle he will have more success.

He looks very fast, appears to have good hands, and decent vision... but most of his highlights consist of him beating people with pure speed. He doesn't have the shifty/elusiveness that some of the other backs his size have which will be needed at the next level when all the DB's run 4.4's. He won't be able to beat people with a straight away spring through a giant hole in college very often... He will need to develop other things in his bag of tricks if he wants to be effective at the next level.

I wonder if the coaching staff looks at the height and speed and thinks they can put 30-40 pounds on him and make him a downhill, big back. He's currently at 190 but he's got a year of HS left. That and a RS year in college could easily put him at 220-230 as a RsFr...
