Time to act. If football was all that mattered, you'd be right! Unfortunately, Texas politics (not for the squeamish!) are likely to stamp out any move in that direction. You have to remember that A&M is dependent on the Legislature for much of its funding, as well as a thousand other things. And there's precious support there for a move to the SEC. What A&M is doing, even to assert this much independence, is downright astounding. I'd be surprised if it wasn't just a pre-planned show to give the impression that it was looking around.
