craigsker
A lot of talk about Jake Locker being a heisman candidate. Will we be the team that kills off his heisman hopes? Sound off huskernation. Quote Link to comment
Dead Red
Maybe we should focus on winning the game as opposed to knocking someone out of the heisman race! Quote Link to comment
HuskerJosh
They're already on life support after losing to BYU. Quote Link to comment
craigsker
Maybe we should focus on winning the game as opposed to knocking someone out of the heisman race! I concur totally...This was merely intended to be a "side story" to the game. I didn't mean to take anything away from priority one..win the game. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
They're already on life support after losing to BYU. Pretty certain that he's going to be off the radar for a long while after this game...a late season surge is always possible, but I expect his stats to be lousy and the Huskies to come out with a 'L.' If one of those two doesn't happen, he could stay in the hunt. Quote Link to comment
junior4949
Players winning the Heisman typically play for really good teams. Unless Washington wins the Pac-10, I don't see Locker as having much of a chance at winning the award regardless of how he performs tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
ESPY
Maybe we should focus on winning the game as opposed to knocking someone out of the heisman race! Geez Dead Beat...I mean Dead Red, easy goes it there. Just a guess, but our boys ARE focused on winning and as a result of that, they will put the hurt on Locker and knock him out of the Heisman race 'cause that's how our Blackshirts roll (see McCoy, Colt). redout22
Unless he goes absolutely bananas tomorrow then I think he is done. The lose to BYU really hurt him. Quote Link to comment

GSG
When I saw the thread title, all I could think of was the song "Killing me softley," except it would be "Killing his Heisman with our D." Quote Link to comment
HuskerfaninOkieland
Maybe we should focus on winning the game as opposed to knocking someone out of the heisman race! I'm pretty sure winning the game and knocking someone out of the heisman race go hand in hand Quote Link to comment
maskershake
kill his heisman and allow our defense to get some good pub Quote Link to comment
JOEY
What heisman hopes? Am I missing something here? Did washington make it to a bowl game last year? How many games have they won these past 2 years? Quote Link to comment
Dead Red
Locker was on the preseason Heisman and O'Brien lists, so I would say those are legitimate hopes. Quote Link to comment

You can heisman hope all you want but if your team can't even make it to a bowl game then how are you going to win the heisman? The thing that sucks for washington is that they have to go play @USC right after we give them the beat down. Quote Link to comment
