talaricohusker
How can they pick ISU over NU because of last years game? This is a totally different team then last year and ISU is still shaky. Yeah they have won some key games but a win over a very bad texas doesn't say much about them. So can someone explain to me why some writers think that ISU can for sure upset NU base on what happened last year? Quote Link to comment
TRIPP
Maybe because we just went through our toughest part of the season with Osu and Mizz, and they think we might let our foot off the gas and slip up. Only way i could think to pick against us. Quote Link to comment
talaricohusker
Yeah maybe but t mart makes this years team 100 times better I just don't get this sometimes Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Yeah maybe but t mart makes this years team 100 times better I just don't get this sometimes I would bet TMart is 50/50 to play in this game. That, combined with our loss last year, Rhoads' ability to coach a good game, and our loss and ISU's win over Texas, and suddenly a lot of tertiary factors seem to line up to indicate that Nebraska might be vulnerable. I don't think that's the case, but worse connections have been made to justify picking one team over another. Quote Link to comment
JOEY
That's crazy for them to pick Isu,I don't care if they won last year we are still Nebraska and last time I checked they were still Iowa state. Quote Link to comment
Nhusker23
Wow, that's going out on a limb. I wonder if they remember that Helu had a bad shoulder and was most likely the reason he fumbled so many times that game and that we had an absolutely awful offense last year. This year's team is completely different. Quote Link to comment
TRIPP
I hope we shut them out. 55-0 Quote Link to comment

shpadoinklehusker
Thats good to hear. How long does the injury that Martinez has usually take to go away? ISU wont win this game. Bo will make sure of that!!!! Quote Link to comment

Then I do amend my 50/50 to... not sure what. I still think there's a chance he doesn't play, but that's diminishing every time he practices. Perhaps it's the pessimism I developed in the Callahan era still lingering, but I was afraid Taylor's injury was worse than Bo was letting on. Glad to hear that I'm wrong about that. Enhance
Nebraska has infinitely better talent then Iowa State. Given this factor, Nebraska should win this game. Then again, last year's Nebraska team was also infinitely better than the ISU team that beat them. My point, more or less, is that Nebraska should win this game and win it handily. I think a lot of people were worried about that from the way Bo spoke about it. Then again, you know Bo, always intentionally vague. Hopefully he's not restricted in practice at all, not that we'll know about it. But the fact that he's in pads has to be a good sign. Quote Link to comment
talaricohusker
NEB is way better on the road so that is a big factor in this game too Quote Link to comment
Chuck_G_23
they pick ISU because if by some miracle, ISU actually wins, they'll look awesome. I wouldn't put too much stock into it, I'd like to see one of them actually put money on ISU straight up to back up those claims...I'll take those bets all day long. Quote Link to comment
