Too early for NFL draft talk?

Recommended Posts

Just a topic I have been thinking about watching our team all year. Defensively Prince is a given top 10 pick. But where do Gomes, Hagg, and Allen fit in? Does Ricky get drafted? What about offense? Would a team take a chance with Paul? What about helu and mcneil? Just seems our team has a lot of potential to make some noise in the draft. Any thoughts?

I don't really follow Mel Kiper because listening to him after 10 seconds give me a headache

CBSSports also has draft rankings. Personally I see:

1. Prince - top 5

2. Niles - round 3-4 (teams like his speed and build)

3. Allen - round 3-4

4. Helu - round 4-5

5. Hagg - round 4-5 (not sure where he projects)

6. McNeil - round 5-6

7. Gomes - round 5-6 (guy doesn't get much credit for some reason)

8. Henery - round 6-7

9. Henry - free agent pick up (pass blocking is a big question mark)

10. Lee - free agent

thanks kansas husker. and i heard alfonzo was already coming back next year. hope so. we could be looking at another all american first round cornerback

Bo memtioned in the tuesday presser that he and Fonz have talked about his future and that he will be back next year. Never know thought, when the dollar signs are flashed infront of his eyes, he may jump ship.

Thought Hagg and Gomes would be higher, also supprised Allen is that high. Where is Keith Williams? I thought hes had a good career.

I think that's optimistic in some ways but these things usually are. I'll throw in my guesses.

1. Prince - Top 15

2. Hagg - Round 1-2

3. Helu - Round 3-5

4. Gomes - Round 4-6

5. Allen - Round 6-7

6. Henery - Round 6-7

Henry, McNeil, Paul, Keith Williams, DJ Jones, Thenarse - UFA

Not sure Lee will get a chance after this year and especially the injury.
