okaive
Holy Hell did the bowl games ever get so much commercialized. I would hate to be a player and tell my friends that I won the Little Caesar's Bowl. Quote Link to comment
huskerfan92
How about the "Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl" I know it's for a good cause and everything but it's just a funny name for a bowl game Quote Link to comment
Hujan
This is garbage. The bowls should have a heritage name and a sponsor, and that's it. For example, the "Rose Bowl presented by _______." Or the "Pacific Life Holiday Bowl." The bowls should not be named after the corporate sponsor. "Little Caesar's Bowl"? Are you kidding me? Garbage. Quote Link to comment
BornRedCornFed
congrats on the 10 wins kids. here are some gifts worse than the ones grandma and grandpa gave you Quote Link to comment
mmmtodd
dont sleep on that gift card. its what i would want. correct me if im wrong, but isnt it something like the bowl can give out a 'total value' of about $500, the school can match that with another $350? those electronic 'suites' some of the bowls do are insane. Numbers get fudged pretty easily in that situation. also, dont sleep on the players total haul for the game/trip. my cousin was a walk on at Nebraska basketball. they went to hawaii for a tourney-and he came home with a grip of cash. per diems, etc. its not like he had to actually buy food and stuff while he was there, for the most part its just money, pocketed.
