I feel MUCH less confident in landing any high profile recruits than I did last year at this time. Not sure what is up....just a different feeling. at this time last year, we were losing carnes to western kentucky and lavonte to south florida.... This time last year we were riding a Suh-nami. true, and no reason we still shouldn't be. we've got another top draft pick this year and suh just got some major hardware. my point though is that january is always a roller coaster, particularly for NU fans, given all the disadvantages we face in recruiting. i don't argue that we've hit a rough patch, but there's no reason we can't come out of it OK. we're still in on some big recruits (peat, carter, jackson and abdullah for starters).
