To reiterate a few points already posted...

 

-I heard Marrow and Mangieri are going to go on scholarship. I think maybe this is where Spano/Coffey's scholarships have gone/are going.

-I just saw EZ-E saying Mitchell's scholarship is tied to Daniel Davie making it or not.

 

It's interesting, perhaps Mitchel, the guy we supposedly had in the bag, might not even make it? Way to go, 247sports Jumping the gun a little.

By the way, the numbers seem to break down as follows:

 

Senior: 12

Junior: 23 (you have 23 names but it's listed as 21 with 23 in parenthesis; I'm confused)

Sophomore: 16

RFr: 13

Freshman: 19 (Sutton is greyshirting, so he'll count towards next year's class)

 

For a total of 83, +2 being Marrow and Mangieri.

I have updated the list above. With Cody Green transferring and David Sutton grey shirting to count against the 2012 class we currently have 83 scholarship players on roster. This list does not include Spano and does include Braylon Heard and Mike Marrow.

 

Currently 2 open scholarships for fall. P.J. Mangeri or Brett Maher have been promised one will get a scholie... leaving 1 open.

 

We could see 1 or 2 more scholarships open up as well with Daniel Davie waiting to pass a summer school class to get cleared with grades and with Bubba Starling pending MLB draft.

 

I forsee Terrell Mitchell getting a scholarship for fall. I see 1-2 walk ons getting scholarships for fall. I see us taking 14 total in the 2012 class, meaning there's only 11 spots left open.

good post. pretty sure mangieri is going on scholarship. also, i'd expect we take more like 16-17 kids in this class. added to your current needs, i'd expect we take a third OL, a DT and either a third DB or a QB/ath.

I'd think they'd try to hold onto as many as they can to help balance the classes. Not fair to a deserving walkon, but I guess we'll see.

if they do end up with 1-2 more by fall (not counting mangieri's, who is getting one), i would expect it to go to someone like legate or may, deserving senior walk-ons. they won't "hold on" to one. there will be 85 kids on scholarship this fall, one way or the other. also wouldn't be terribly shocked to see sutton brought in this fall if another spot opens up.
