huskerstag
Grixby can't be much bigger Grixby is listed at 5'9'' - 165 lbs. Quote Link to comment
ohiohusker79
I was just looking at the commit list on Rivals and both Corey Young and Anthony West have been upgraded to 3 stars. Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
Iowa just got a commitment from Jay Valai, 5'9" cornerback from Texas. This may lessen the chances of Young recieving an offer from the Hawks. I actually think they need 1 more, so it's still out there if they dont that last guy they want. Keep your fingers crossed Quote Link to comment
hootin' annie's goatfarm
hello, good story above on c young, eric...& I know that this has nothing to do w/ c young, but not only did ia get a verbal from 5'9", 195 valai, they also got a verbal from 5'8", 165, 4.4 speedster, paul chaney, who had unofficially visited NU about a month ago - size does not matter to coach f at ia Quote Link to comment
polo_check
Rivals also upgraded Corey Young to a 3-star prospect. Quote Link to comment
DJR313
THREE less than stellar commits in a week.      yippee. Do those extra stars for West and Young make you feel warm and fuzzy now? Quote Link to comment
NamelessHusker
Rivals also upgraded Corey Young to a 3-star prospect. As i mentioned, he was a high 2 star, low 3 star earlier on. With the 2 new commits for Iowa, Corey seems to be safe from an Iowa offer, so the chance of a decommit have plummeted. It's interesting none the less that Corey Young commits a few days ago and Iowa lands 2 DB's in 1 day. Maybe Iowa told Corey they were not recruiting him anymore and it would explain why he finally puleld the trigger for NU. Who knows but i just found it interesting the way it has recently played out. BigWillie
Why worry about Paul Chaney now? He had commited before Young pledged to us. As you stated before, you thought the 'Hawks were taking 2 more CB's. Quote Link to comment

As you stated before, you thought the 'Hawks were taking 2 more CB's. Iowa needed 3 CB's in this class. I was only aware of Jeff Terpinian (sp?). I hadn't checked their recent commits lately, so i thought they only had him as the lone DB verbal. That's why i said 2 more Quote Link to comment
BigWillie
I personally wouldn't worry about Paul Chaney at CB. Immensely undersized, sorta like a Robert Rands for us. He has TREMENDOUS speed, but he will get pushed around by alot of WR's. Â I have no info that suggests he won't be a CB, but I personally see him as a return specialist because of his size. But that's just me. Quote Link to comment
pigsonthewing
im just happy the coaches arent ignoring our own backyard and taking nebraska's top talent. i dont put too much faith into those stars and stuff. i trust in the coaches' ability to evaluate talent. if they offer a kid that means he's gotta have a little talent regardless of what rivals or scout says.
