irafreak Posted November 17, 2011 Share Posted November 17, 2011 It's too bad it ended on a bad call like that. What's worse is I think Solich was going to punt. He put his qb in the shotgun and had a reciever come into motion like he would take a handoff but he stopped and got ready into a blocking stance....meaning either it was a short pass on fourth and 1 or a qb draw from the gun. I think if they didn't get the offsides he was going to take the delay at midfield and punt with 2 something on the clock and only 2 timeouts. Had the refs not missed the guard move it would have been 4th and 6 and they would have punted the game away. Had nobody moved and they took the delay, Solich should have been criticized for his decision. Rant over...congrats to Ohio and FS. They would have been playing Miami Ohio for the division next week had they lost. Quote Link to comment
