carlfense
Maybe Ryan won't hold the crown for long: Deval Patrick succeeded Mitt Romney as governor of Massachusetts. So it made sense that the Obama campaign dispatched him to attack Romney’s record in the state. The speech was direct and forceful, and the crowd loved it. But do the facts check out? Let’s go through them, one by one. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ezra-klein/wp/2012/09/05/deval-patrick-slammed-mitt-romney-last-night-but-do-his-facts-check-out/ Link to comment
zoogs
When one party embarrasses themselves with this, it is a great opportunity for the other party to step up to the plate and be fair, honest, and respectful in bringing a real discussion to the table. And then, this. All the time. Politicians! y u do dis. ಥ_ಥ Link to comment
knapplc
Did the DNC start already? We need a couple of weeks to digest all the glory and wonder from the RNC first. I wish they would have waited. Link to comment
krc1995
I'm to the point that all these convention speeches are full of hot air. Some sort of Broadway play that isn't worth the words scribbled on the teleprompter. I think you just have to vote with the side that mostly closely aligns (in theory) with your strongest beliefs. I really don't like when either candidate spins something the other said into something untruthful just to try to sway people his way. It's very adolescent. They both do it and it is sickening. carlfense
Where are the dozens of partisan posts defending his claims?! Must not have the same advantages as Lyin' Ryan. Link to comment
Lil' Red
Many politicians seem to believe that deceit is the best way to win an election. Based on the amount of time spent methodically calculating their statements, I presume that their belief must hold true. Link to comment
