southernoregonhusker
Can somebody point me to where that thread went? I can't seem to find it and I think it'll be more comical this time around. Two Pac 12 "bottom dwellers" beat two of the best programs in the Big 10. Seriously, I think joining the Big 10 was an excellent move for DONU. Lots of money and prestige to be had. I fear, however, it was a bad move for our overall football program. We're recruiting big, slow kids for our front 7 to combat the Big 10's big back tradition. Consequently, we're going to be outclassed by teams with speed because we're too slow. Watching last weeks game against Southern Miss, I couldn't believe how slow our front seven was. I told a buddy of mine we looked like the UNL teams that kept losing to the Florida schools before we figured out we needed speed to win. We've regressed in that regard IMHO. Quote Link to comment
Excel
There have been a few; Big Ten vs. Pac-12. This one kind of turned into it on the second page. Quote Link to comment
WoodyHayes1951
huh? Why would you stop recruiting team speed? Every team in the Big Ten has run a spread offensive set in the past 2 years. There are only a handful of teams who would run a pro style set if they could in this conference. scUM, Wisky,Sparty and Iowa are the only ones. Quote Link to comment
