krc1995
anyone do Crossfit regularly? I have been at it for three weeks now and it is really growing on me. It is so much more then a workout, it really tests your determination and your mental ability to keep going even if in pain. For the record, I did Murph in 53.25 and I'm dang proud of it. Couldn't walk for two days, but still proud. Unfortuneatley, I didn't vomit. You get a free t-shirt if you vomit. I am hearing rumbling about Clovis this Saturday. 10 mile run,100 burpee pullups for time. I might get the puke shirt ' Quote Link to comment

As I've gotten past high school and college competition, it has helped me to stay motivated as you're always going against the clock or for max repetitions. The great thing for you is, being new to it, you'll probably make A LOT of gains very quickly. It doesn't hurt that the girls that are really good at it are, like, legit hot. Check this link out for a list of a lot of the "named WODs" with performance standards: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:UZURSu3-o-4J:board.crossfit.com/attachment.php%3Fattachmentid%3D3911%26d%3D...+crossfit+named+standards&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us I have this saved as an Excel sheet on my comp and update it as I complete named WODs I hate to break it to you, but Clovis was 10miles + 150 burpee pullups. I did it on Sunday and I can honestly tell you that there was nothing more demoralizing that finishing such a long run only to have to do more consecutive burpee pullups than I have done in my life! krc1995
our crossfit instructor said he strongly recommends doing the burpee pullups first. I think I'm finially going to find something I hate more than regular burpees. Quote Link to comment

DaveH
Can't say I'm a CrossFit guy.. Not a fan of the programming or doing strength training related things for time. But to each their own. Quote Link to comment
