I think the reason he doesn't play with any fire is that he has zero conditioning

 

Sucking air with 4 minutes left in the 1st half is one thing in your first year...once you've had some time to work on your cardio for a couple of years it shouldn't be an issue. Insert fat joke here, I guess.

Miles is giving the team off today. Says they are tired. Signs of a short handed roster IMO. Indicated you can only scream at them so much to motivate them as if you always do it, then it loses it's effectiveness. I like Coach Miles. I think he gets it.

 

He did something similar at CSU too. I recall reading a story when he was first hired @ NU that he gave the team a day off and followed it up with a "fun day" but I can't remember exactly what it was that they did, but it wasn't basketball-related. Arcade? Laser Tag? Whatever it was, he said it seemed to help the staff and players afterwards.

 

I know they played volleyball one time. I think those kids absolutely loved him for that.
