kchusker_chris
I'd have to think it's Foster during the spring game. Early commits are usually local kids, Baker in 08' (way early), Pensick in 09', ARod in 10', Reeves and Moore (legacy) in 11'. Quote Link to comment

I don't see Foster committing this early especially with Bama in the background Quote Link to comment
CMT1525
I hope And pray its Peyton Newell. He is a must get in this class! Quote Link to comment
B1G Red
All we heard about prior to NSD was how difficult it is to get kids to leave home and come all the way to Nebraska, so when it comes to Foster, isn't the reverse true? Mom and Dad can drive across town to 6 or 7 home games a year, vs. 12 away (from Lincoln) games. The only drivable SEC games would be Misery, maybe A&M. I'd sure think we should be in drivers seat on any kid living in Lincoln. Quote Link to comment
dylan
Considering his brother's on the team and he lives in town, I'd guess that we are in the driver's seat. If he grew up here, I'd feel even better about it, but it's nice to have distance on our side for once. Quote Link to comment

dylan
I didn't know that. If that's the case, I feel a lot better. I thought he was a more recent transplant for some reason. Quote Link to comment
Thanks_Tom RR
I am guessing we get the newly offered Luke Gifford as our first commit by (or on) the spring game. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
I am guessing we get the newly offered Luke Gifford as our first commit by (or on) the spring game. I would rather he be a silent commit for a while. As was mentioned in his thread, if he commits early, recruiting sites won't bother to evaluate him properly and he won't get any recognition. He should hold off verbally committing and let some other offers roll in. I know stars aren't everything, but it sure looks good at the end of the year for momentum. Quote Link to comment

As I mentioned in Luke's thread, I completely argue with this. But, if he wants to be our 'flagship' recruit like Josh Banderas was, he can't be a silient recruit for long. Quote Link to comment

I get him mybe wanting to be the flagship commit, but the glaring difference between him and Banderas is that Banderas was already rated a 4 star player going into his Sr year. So he had some "clout" behind him. If we wanted to have the same thing happen this year, we need someone like Foster to commit first. Quote Link to comment

Thanks_Tom RR
Already posted this in Luke's thread. Our debate may have some wheels after all. Bryan Munson @BigRedBryan Luke Gifford admits that being the "Josh Banderas" of the '14 class for #Nebraska interests him. Says he has a lot of respect for Josh. Quote Link to comment
