BigRedBuster Posted May 22, 2013 Share Posted May 22, 2013 I can understand it being a piss poor business decision or even piss poor employee relations. Basically ESPN can go suck azz. However, I don't see this as much different than many lay offs that occur. Many times it's because the company makes a bad business decision here and there which leads to the need to cut back employees. They suck. They really really really suck. However, unless I know the actual business decisions around the lay offs, I have a hard time claiming they are "unethical". The employees have three choices. a) Go find another job at a huge corporation. b) Find a job at a smaller company that may have better relationships with their employees. c) Start their own company so they don't have to deal with what they feel is unethical in large corporations. FYI...Employees still at ESPN can make these decisions too. If the company is viewed as mistreating employees, they can easily lose the employees they don't want to lose. Quote Link to comment
