I for one think Sumlin is a great coach- but A&M isnt a National Title contender

Now that Manziels time bomb finally went off- possibly exposing A&M as a consistent lawless enterprise. anything goes there. Now that they are in the SEC, they can get back to the old ways of the SWC. A&M fans are so desperate to top Texas and win that elusive first real National Championship- they wont stop at anything. :

Any chance it affects their recruiting? ANy players that NU was on?

The manager, "Uncle Nate" is some preppy whimp flaunter- who Mr Manziel convinced to drop out of college to be Johnny Football's "manager"

Obviously the powers at be are going to set this guy up to take the fall. You CANT have a manager take money for something you do and either "loan" you the money, have HIM benefit from it OR hold on to the money until after Jan 1, when he turns pro.

 

Manziel, is a dolt: arrested for fighting, bragging about making lots of money gambling, oversleeping and skipping out on the Manning camp, going all hateful to the A&M fans on twitter, last week hanging out at a Texas Frat party on the Austin campus (got tossed out), taking money for autographs- from known autograph brokers. THis is just tip of the iceberg for this kid. Real shame the parents and University are so indulgent. What a self indulgent knucklehead.

That said, losing him would seriously drop their win-loss record for the year and probably shake a few recruits loose. We'll see if the NCAA has the nuts to actually do anything. Given that A&M has hired the same lawyer that kept Cam Newton eligible, I sure wouldn't count on any significant punishment. The NCAA is a joke.

I dont get how Saban gets kids either- with all the oversigning and cutting he does

Heck last year he waited unitl 2 weeks prior to NSD to tell a kid who committed in August- that he didnt have a scholarship for the kid

Looks like it's either $$ or the kids/ mom/dad dont look at the entire picture
