6-2 to Start the Season

Recommended Posts

The Nebraska volleyball team will open the season running a two-setter system, with junior Mary Pollmiller and freshman Kelly Hunter each rotating in at the setter position.

In the three weeks since practice began, Nebraska coach John Cook has been keeping track of how the setters compare, and what system may allow the 10th-ranked Huskers to have the most success.

Nebraska opens the season Friday afternoon with a match against unranked Louisiana-Monroe in the Saint Louis Tournament.

The 6-2 offense means senior Morgan Broekhuis and freshman Amber Rolfzen will each play at the opposite-hitter position.

Ba dum dum ting!

The only thing I am concerned with the 6-2 is the middles. How are they going to get their kills without running the slide. Hopefully MHaggs can dominate without that tool in the shed.

Well, I guess we'll split the difference at 7-1.

Your concerns about the middles were apparently well-founded. Fortunately, they looked pretty good this weekend without getting a lot from them, though Ostrander wasn't too bad. Hopefully they'll get everyone on the same page.
