HUSKER 37
Is Prism TV available out there yet? I've been thinking about giving it a try but lately only seem to actually watch tv for Husker Football and a few movies... I'm tempted to just get a few of those indoor antennas from Costco and maybe get each TV it's own cheap laptop with wi-fi and just watch Hulu plus or jasontv for movies and the several dozen broadcast tv stations (I've heard) locally out here in AZ https://www.centuryl...er-reviews.html Quote Link to comment
carlfense
. . . I've been thinking about giving it a try but lately only seem to actually watch tv for Husker Football and a few movies... I'm tempted to just get a few of those indoor antennas from Costco . . . I have a couple of these: http://www.amazon.com/Mohu-Leaf-Paper-Thin-Indoor-Antenna/dp/B004QK7HI8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388499930&sr=8-1&keywords=leaf+antenna They look basically the same. They work great. Far better than a big antenna on a roof and worlds better than rabbit ears. 1 Quote Link to comment
carlfense
Update. Went the Chromecast route and it works like a champ. Shout out to carl for the $35 solution. It's a bit redundant for a smart tv but was required due to comcast being stupid dicks. After seeing what Chromecast can do, I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to convert a regular tv to much of the functionality of a smart tv. Also a shout out to my employees for providing the Best Buy gift cards that covered the Chromecast purchase. Glad to hear. Lame that you had to do a workaround like that for a smart TV. I'm in sort of similar situation where DirecTV doesn't support WatchESPN or HBOGo on Roku. Quote Link to comment
HUSKER 37
. . . I've been thinking about giving it a try but lately only seem to actually watch tv for Husker Football and a few movies... I assume it's impractical/cumbersome to hook more than one TV to each antenna ...but costco has them for under $40 each.. Quote Link to comment
BIGREDIOWAN
Good to hear you got the problem worked out. Just bought a 60" Sony Bravia for our newly finished basement yesterday. I'll be calling DirecTV and busting their balls to give me the Genie for my entire house or I'm going Dish Network. Dish has really upgraded some of their channel options! Quote Link to comment

BIGREDIOWAN
Got Directv to give me the Genie for free, take $20 a month off of my bill for the next year, and paying half for installation cost, about $50. Pretty good deal for 20 minutes on the phone IMO. Quote Link to comment
