"Coach, this is conference play." http://t.co/cYWir0g7xl Does this mean Bo does consider Illini in the same conference? Bo better have learned his lesson from McNeese. Illinois can exploit our weaknesses. You cant game plan for one team the week your playing another team and expect your players to take the opponent seriously.Any evidence to the game planning? Just curious Fowler...This tweet was a joke about the Santos injury (just an injuried player needing time to recover), but the offensive running game was held back the first three games and unleashed on Miami. With how McNeese and Fresno played the run, having the variety we had against Miami would have helped that. This was obviously by design, keeping things off film so Miami could not scheme against it. It's not a criticism, just an observation (actually, I think it is rather smart). Edited September 26, 2014 by Thanks_Tom RR Quote Link to comment

Just curious Fowler... Of course I don't have evidence. It happened thou. They worked on pass plays for Fresno during McNeese prep. Can't expect your players to take an opponent seriously if you don't. You can't go into a game with the game plan of "working on things" We passed a lot the first three games on purpose and Miami was so scared they played their safeties back all game, so that worked. Teams are definitely going to have to respect Tommy's arm, especially the good ones like MSU that won't want to risk a big pass play cheating on the run, in what should be a close game. Illinois however, they have nothing to lose. They better have LBers playing well or this is going to be a shoot out in the first half. Quote Link to comment
