SouthAfricanHusker
With all the discussion I thought I would take the time to compare records of all NU coaches since 2000 verses ranked teams. The catch from other comparisons is this is teams ranked at the end of the season. Ranked at the time isn't worth much in my book. Look at the SEC this year. Early on teams were hyped after beating South Carolina or A&M and getting a lot of publicity. Now many teams are beating them. Can't really say any of the records are impressive. Bo's 5 wins came in years 3 (2), 4 (1) and 5 (2). Here it is... Bo (using 2014 current rankings) 5 wins (2 vs top 15, 0 vs top 10) 18 losses (14 vs top 15, 9 vs top 10) Cally 1 win (#25 Pittsburgh) 11 losses (8 vs top 15, 6 vs top 10) Fighting Frankie (2000 and onward) 3 wins (2 vs top 15, 1 vs top 10) 10 losses (8 vs top 15, 6 vs top 10) 1 Quote Link to comment

gobiggergoredder
Can we get a next coach thread going? 1 Quote Link to comment
HuskerNBigD
Great work, thanks for the info. Guess this clears up the other thread that was questioning where people were getting the 5-18 number. Looks like a statistical discrepancy between rankings of at time vs. end of season. Agreed that it should be based off of the end of season poll. Quote Link to comment
Hunter94
yup, when the going gets tough, Bo throws fits with the refs and yells at his players....same result, we lose! Quote Link to comment

SouthAfricanHusker
It wasn't not crediting Frankie as much as it was me not spending time to look it up. Also figured some of the No supporters would cry that Frank did it with Toms players. Quote Link to comment
RunRedRun
one way or another, 20% against ranked teams over 7 years will not get you any hardware whatsoever..!!! Quote Link to comment
