Count 'Bility
If Compton and Fisher dont get hurt fall camp of 2010, we NEVER know who LaVonte David even is. That is an awful lot of speculation. It's based on a pretty good sample size of supporting evidence. Have we or have we not seen a lot of talented guys come and go without opportunity? And it's fact that Lavonte was on the field opening day-and moreso all of-2010 because Compton and Fisher were hurt in fall camp. David got on the field because of lack of options. Not because of ability. And his way of playing free and flying all over playing rogue defense (Bo was pretty adament in notating such all year) and making plays on instinct and athletic ability is not something that wouldve overcome Compton and Fisher probably ever. zoogs
I'm thinking of DTs or Cs in recent years who could just not play their way off the field. Quote Link to comment
DelK
Adding in what Joe Ganz is quoted as saying about quarterback struggles rather adds to the picture of a staff trying to force players into roles for which they weren't exactly suited. Quote Link to comment
