Eichorst: Currently No Plans for Seating Changes in Memorial Stadium

"We like where we're at from a capacity perspective," said Eichorst, who stressed the importance of being "very deliberate and strategic" in decisions regarding any changes to the stadium.

"You can maintain capacity without having seats too, right? Kind of like we did at volleyball. You can have standing-room only, you can have plazas. You can do a lot of unique things. But they have to be well thought-out. You have to get to the right place with them. So, no, we're not looking at anything other than providing anything but an exceptional experience throughout the stadium."
The examination of athletic department facilities is a daily one by Eichorst and staff. And the most iconic facility, Memorial Stadium, is always on his mind.
"So we're looking really closely at the North and South end zones," he said, pointing out that about 55 percent of the seats in the stadium are behind those end zones.
"Whether it's sight lines, whether it's restrooms, concessions, ingress, egress. All those other sorts of things" are part of those daily discussions.

Oh and while they are at it, in this hypothetical of mine, can they remove a chunk of people from the North East Section 3/4 the way up? These fine folks still can't read their season ticket and properly find their seats. Or tell the difference between offense and defense even though they attend every home game.
