Muck
If the B12 loses it's top 2-3 schools, the conference name still has more cache than the MWC. The B12 schools won't be absorbed by the MWC. The opposite will happen. The B12 will backfill with the top schools from the conference. We already have a pretty good idea what that block will look like because it's happened before. B12 Mountain BYU San Diego St. Colorado St. New Mexico Wyoming UNLV Air Force B12 Plains Oklahoma St. Kansas St. Iowa St. TCU Baylor Texas Tech WVU There isn't going to be a 24 team super(mediocre) conference. The WAC tried it before and the core block fled almost immediately creating the MWC. That core block also just happens to be the seven schools listed above. Quote Link to comment
Redux
Obviously 24 teams is a long shot, just thinking outside the box a bit. Quote Link to comment
nic
Dont forget the ACC needs 2. ND and Uconn? Uconn and WVU in case ND doesn't comply. Quote Link to comment
Redux
Dont forget the ACC needs 2. ND and Uconn? Uconn and WVU in case ND doesn't comply. ND will eventually be forced to fully join the ACC. UConn probably should have already gotten an invite, maybe WVU should get proactive about jumping ship while a spot's open. Quote Link to comment

How can you put a team from the Mountainer State in the Plains division????? Easy, it took less than 3 seconds to type. It's a more palatable division name than the B12 "Detritus". PS Your post needs more question marks. Quote Link to comment
huKSer
Muck - just trying to be funny, no insult meant. I never understood WVU in the Big12 - they are such a miss match culturally and geographically. Quote Link to comment
Redux
WVU needs to bail for the ACC like 2 years ago. Make a push and get in while they still can. Quote Link to comment
