  1. I asked a question, you are unwilling to answer. Hunting has zero to do with the underlying topic and I'm trying to understand why you believe it does. Anyways I have to get back into the SCIF. Have fun.
  2. Yep, and those limits primarily revolve around private vs public space.
  3. So no, you're unable to answer the question. Thanks. So much for the reasonable discussion I suppose.
  4. Your claim that the NRA's unwillingness to capitulate to the infringement of civil liberties is not 'doing the right thing". Yes indeed that is a fail.
  5. I'm not dancing, you're the one who has failed to answer a direct question regarding the relevance of hunting to the topic.
  6. You see no correlation between the 1st & 2nd Amendments of the US Constitution?
  7. And therein lies a large part of the problem. There are many outlets in which you have the ability to express your opinion, why should you be allowed to do so on the internet?
  8. And you believe this is relevant why exactly? A suggestion that civilians be given the option to defend themselves is indicative of a desire for a militant state and is the antithesis of 'free'?
  9. Getting teched & failing to medal at the Olympics kept Jordan from the throne. When all is said & done, Burroughs will go down as one of the top 5 (at worst) US wrestlers of all time. That being said his star is not the brightest in the sky at this moment.
  10. How do you propose to determine who the eight best teams are? Opinion polls by sportswriters & coaches (*cough* graduate assistants *cough*). Computer rankings that are unable to predict the outcome of past games? Magic?
  11. Things I learned in this thread... 1. Football doesn't count before 1970 (which given Nebraska's performance is an understandable bit of cherry picking). 2. The 1970 & 1997 championships don't count because of 'everybody gets a trophy' ties. Ohio State claims 8 national championships. Six of those are undisputed. 1961 & 1970 are the questionable ones. Each of those was selected by a single recognized 'major selector'. Those being the Football Writers Association of America & National Football Foundation respectively. 1942 - AP Champs - The coaches poll wasn't introduced until 1950 1954 - AP Champs - UCLA was #1 in the coaches poll but prohibited from playing in the Rose Bowl due to the no repeat rule. USC was the conference rep, losing to Ohio State. 1957 - UPI (coaches poll) Champs - The AP selected Auburn who was barred from participating in a bowl game due to being on probation (imagine that). 1968 - Voted #1 by all of the major selectors...AP, UPI, FWAA & NFF. The answer to the initial question posed is "when you are once again the one being used as the benchmark in comparisons".
  12. 71-5 over the past five years & 5 consecutive FCS championships.
  13. How can you put a team from the Mountainer State in the Plains division????? Easy, it took less than 3 seconds to type. It's a more palatable division name than the B12 "Detritus". PS Your post needs more question marks.
  14. If the B12 loses it's top 2-3 schools, the conference name still has more cache than the MWC. The B12 schools won't be absorbed by the MWC. The opposite will happen. The B12 will backfill with the top schools from the conference. We already have a pretty good idea what that block will look like because it's happened before. B12 Mountain BYU San Diego St. Colorado St. New Mexico Wyoming UNLV Air Force B12 Plains Oklahoma St. Kansas St. Iowa St. TCU Baylor Texas Tech WVU There isn't going to be a 24 team super(mediocre) conference. The WAC tried it before and the core block fled almost immediately creating the MWC. That core block also just happens to be the seven schools listed above.
  15. I have to hand it to TSUN they're leading the way in NASCAR style advertising. The Nike Swoosh, Jordan Jumpman & McDowell's Golden Arcs. Quite the combo in Amarillo & Blue. How are those uniforms "sick"? They look pretty much exactly like they did under Adidas this past year. The shoes are pretty cool, but Michigan's uniforms have been basically the same forever. Logo is everything to kids. Even more so than ever. Maybe NU should make a deal with Lebron and get his King James logo on there before anyone else does. Good luck.
  16. Yah, OSU QBs have weenie arm disease. I'm looking at you JT Barrett. I doubt many here got the reference bro. lol
  17. Smart move. Something I'm glad to see. Would hate it if those historic wrestling programs faded because of the league's issues.
  18. I think most OSU fans feel like they got jobbed before the OT. This right here. Anyone who complains about the refs giving the championship to Ohio State, needs to pay attention to that video. Not only did he catch that ball, but that should have also been a penalty. I think a big reason for the controversy of the OT interference call was because of the delay between the play and the flag. That, and it came on a play that would've ended the game. But I don't disagree about the other play, the one in your video. It was also a bad call. The difference being, the Miami PI, wasn't a bad call. It was Passing interference, just not when people thought it was (the ball was closer to Krenzel when it happened, not when the ball was right there in the end zone) The National Association of Sports Officials is on record saying it was the correct call & Referee Magazine listed it as one of the best calls of all time.
  19. His uncle passed away today.
  20. At the time the Penn State compliance department consisted of Joe Paterno. There was zero oversight of the football program. It was the very definition of lack of institutional control. People haven't become more rational, they've had years of PSU propaganda shoved up their rear ends until they've forgotten what actually happened. The original solution was simple...revoke PSU's membership in the NCAA....but that would cost money and the powers that be are going to ride the gravy train straight into the ground.
  21. He's also an honor roll student.
