Exactly, I hate seeing that.  When I coached you always tell kids to run and not cut back.  Cut backs are for running in traffic inside a hole, not out in the open field when you are at top speed.  All it allows is for the defender to catch up to you, because you have to slow down to cut back.  He may not have scored, but he would have picked up at least another 10-12 yards.  

Can't remember which coach (maybe Walters) said he wants guys to run, not try to run over or something to that effect.
