Moiraine
Just a random thought that popped into my head while watching Chernobyl and how they harken back to Lenin, who was already long dead, so often. We have Lincoln and Washington and a million places named after them, and then there's Kennedy and Reagan, but I don't feel like we revere them. We revere the United States in a somewhat obsessive fashion, but I don't think we revere past leaders. I think the closest we come is when people obsess over adhering strictly to the constitution and act like its writers were omniscient and could see the future. Although, the so-called constitutionists tend to change their minds as soon as someone in their party does something that goes against the constitution. Link to comment
