ttheKid1*18
Now that Keller is coming here, how do you think this sets us up for next year? I know we still have this season, but with him at quarterback next year, I think we can win the Big XII for sure, and have a shot at the nc. Our D returns a lot, minus Carriker, Moore, and Stew, but will have Potter and Turner ready to step in. Our secondary will have a lot of experience. Thoughts? Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
We will have to wait. With a good season this year, A few of our underclassmen might think that they are ready to go pro. Plus injuries can change everything. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
If I'm not mistaken, we lose our starting Defensive front four, they're all seniors, aren't they? Which underclassmen do you think will go pro? Quote Link to comment
huskerdavo
National Championship....we lose very little Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
I think the only player who could go pro is Wilson, but I don't think any will. But yeah, we are losing our whole front 4, but talent still returns. Quote Link to comment
AgMarauder04
Is Keller THAT much better than Taylor? his stats from last year were'nt overly impressive. Quote Link to comment
huskerdavo
Is Keller THAT much better than Taylor? his stats from last year were'nt overly impressive. he got hurt after seven games? and yes I think he is nothing against ZT Quote Link to comment
AgMarauder04
I know he did, but his TD/INT ratio left something to be desired. Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
He ony had two until the SC game. He threw five in that game, and I think it was something like 4 in the second half. But 2 or 3 were drops, so it wasn't entirely his fault. The thing that really impresses me is his game against Mr. Bo Pelini's D at LSU. 35/56, 461 yards, 4 tds, and no pics. With all that speed and talent on that D, wow! Quote Link to comment
zoogs
I don't want to make any Taylor-Keller comparisons. I think we all practically worship Taylor. He is like Jesus to Husker Nation. He's tough, a fearless leader, and delivered far more than we expected. But to say Keller's stats last year weren't impressive would be mistaken, I think...remember, he sat out five games due to injury...All of his ints came in three games: 2, 5, 2. Take from that what you will. Quote Link to comment
HSKRNOKC
I see what your saying. I honestly beleive that with a year to mature with our coaching that the INTs should go down. How can you not get excited about his yardage and TD s. Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
He had 2,165 yards and 20 touchdowns in six games. That seems pretty impressive to me. Quote Link to comment
StuckinChicago
20 tds to 9 picks is pretty good, especially considering over half his picks came against one team... He put up better numbers than Taylor did in only 7 games. Ill take that kind of production. Quote Link to comment
ttheKid1*18
Great player. Lots of talent. Lots of talent for the Huskers. This is going to be fun! Quote Link to comment
gamecocks
As far as players going pro early. I have no idea. But anyone of our Juniors could have break out years and see the dollars signs in their eyes at the end of the season. We have a whole season to play and anything can happen between now and then.
