I can't imagine a worse visual for the program if NU gets blown out Friday and Trev names Mickey the HC after the game or over the weekend. That would be the epitome of embarrassment.

Here's a real question: "Coach, can you explain who made the call on the 4th-and-1 to have Tommy in the shotgun, instead of at the line, and why a pass play, and not a run play, was called?" I have a feeling Riley would have spewed the exact same lame-ass answer, but still. Have some balls.

Do they deserve a bowl? No. Should they accept a bowl? Yes. Really, it's either Good Tommy or Bad Tommy. If we get Good Tommy with his head screwed on right, we can probably beat a fairly good team.

Think Huskers will win this one by 2 TDs. Players know they have to have this one, and they'll make it so.

I admit, I am morbidly curious to see how Nebraska would play with his guys on the field ... his ideal QB, etc.

After this game, I'm inclined to give Riley at least another half-year, though I remain baffled by a lot of decisions he or his staff makes.

Thrilled the Huskers won, but whoever called the squib kick needs to be terminated immediately. I mean, how do you NOT kick it as far as you can, out of the end zone? Haven't had time to listen to post-game stuff ... was the kick explained by Riley or anyone?

Honestly, Texas A&M would probably have been the worst matchup. That game was just screaming 75-17 loss.

Wait, it gets worse. Per ESPN: Honestly, I think Penn State deserves the death penalty here. I know there are coaches, staff and players there now who had nothing to do with this, but if those coaches, staff and players are truly committed to the university and helping it recover its image, then they'll stay. If they want to head to greener pastures, I don't blame them. Because I think the hammer is going to come down. Hard.

I'm a little worried about this game, to be honest. Not worried that we might lose, per se, but worried that we'll come out so confident we'll crush the 'Horns that we don't get the motor running until it matters most. In other words, I'm worried we'll come out too flat and not score enough "style points" to put us in a good position in the first BCS standings.
