  1. Love the hire! Hopefully we can hang onto him for that position for at least a couple years but it wouldn't surprise me if he heads back to a full time coaching position in the future. I'm glad we will be able to make use of his expertise for now!
  2. I could see him moving inside situationally. 3rd and long type situations, allowing another rush end to get on the field.
  3. Agreed, excellent work again by our team AND our local board play by play expert!
  4. Awesome work on the updates 4life! GBR!
  5. hskrfan, Thanks for the updates! Overseas until the summer so I will be relying on this board for my husker baseball fix.
  6. My question also...when could this kid play? Not sure if he has redshirted or not while at Louisville.
  7. I'd really like to see Pitch get going in this one to give him some confidence! 5.9 pts & 2.9 boards is not going to cut it.
  8. I think that is why they are "penciled" in because all we have so far is the tweet from the SI lady. I agree about the WR coach, he was one of them I wanted Coach Riley to bring with him.
  9. If his former DC is coming here not to be the Nebraska DC any idea what position he would likely coach?
  10. Was probably a dream to think he would come here as OC but still stings a little. Hopefully Scott can keep up his success without a Heisman QB next year. Would love to see him continue to excel at coaching.
  11. Check their past 5 recruiting classes, Nebraska has far more 4+ star players. The difference is that they can teach & make their kids better. What if the new staff can't get those high 3 and 4 star guys to come here? We may have a few more wins the next few years and a 2007like fall off. All signs point to the OSU staff being fantastic recruiters, I have no doubt they'll be able to pull at least the same caliber talent as Pelini & co. Sounds like another staff we had here. As a matter of fact, Banker being "well traveled " reminds me off a former secondary coach we had. It's hard to explain anything to the ignorance! Ah hem, Bill's staff was supposed great recruiters. Elmo was well traveled. It didn't make them successful. OSUs staff hasn't yet recruited to the level of Bo's staff. Please explain my ignorance. One more time: they did not have the facilities or resources they have now. Miles did not recruit big time players at Colo. St., but after year at NE he is putting together some the best basketball recruiting classes in our history. I am just saying that your argument holds no facts and give him & his new staff a chance. Agreed that he and his staff need a chance to prove themselves. But I also understand that many fans will want them on a short leash. We had a fan base divided on our last coach and many of them will not accept less than that. I think SE is smart and will give Coach Riley time to recruit and develop talent but with our division I think 7-8 wins is the floor. Anything less than that in either of the first two years and Coach Riley and/or his staff will need to be reevaluated. That said, the AD should be evaluating their coaches every year, just as every coach should be evaluating his staff each year.
  12. Welcome aboard young man. Glad to have you here!
