Perhaps I am too shortsighted, but I just don't see this becoming more than a big yearly game. Not a major rivalry on the national or local scene. I would of much much much preferred Wisconsin to be the protected crossover game. Obviously Wiscy/Minnesota is too big of a rivalry to make that happen. It just seems happenstance to me. Since neither PSU or Nebraska has a long history with other B1G teams they decided to put those two together. Give it half a decade and maybe my stance will change though, who knows.

No offense to MSU and Iowa, but in the long run Nebraska and Michigan will be the ones competing for the division title most often. This is the first of many big games between the two and I really can't stand Michigan, they were my least favorite B1G team going into this season and nothing so far this season has changed that. Beat Blue!!

Low if they don't make the BCS they fall way down the bowl selection list and if Nebraska makes the BCS it will be the Rose. I doubt the Rose takes Boise. I knew that one, just wasn't sure what they would look like outside the BCS. The Maaco Las Vegas Bowl is the tie in for the conference champion, which will probably be TCU now. Boise probably ends up in the Poinsettia Bowl if they don't make the BCS.

I would not consider having Taylor run the belly option or designed hand-off to Legate playing "scared".... but yes, it would be more SAFE. And under the circumstances with a 10 pt lead on the road, if "safe" is working, than you are would be stupid too not keep doing it. (not calling you or beck stupid, just the concept)..... Taylor handing that ball to Legate would make more sense... that isn't "scared", but yes "safe" !!!! And, I wouldn't consider a fullback dive "going for their throats".... it was a dive, intended to get 2 yds....... and the whole not playing it "safe" almost bit them in the a$$, as PSU got huge momentum and almost came back..... There is a difference between aggressive and dumb... this was somewhere in between IMO Exactly it was Burkhead handing off to the FB. It was a safe play call made more dangerous for really no reason. It probably made the dive tougher than it would of been with Martinez taking the snap. The D-Line keyed on the run only and could blow the play up. It just felt like a risk for the sake of risk taking.

Behind Oregon and Stanford the Pac-12 is terrible. Stanford got their first look at a real quality team and showed they don't have the talent to hang.

I thought the same thing. At a certain point there isn't a need to get creative like that, a simple Martinez to Legate up the belly would have been just as effective in that situation as Burkhead to Legate.

Oregon looking like they will win this one going with points to spare.
