  1. Very well stated. Schools facing sanctions or currently penalized can generally sell playing time and hype up a new brand. I figured Penn St. would still be struggling to gain traction, but that's not the case. It's hard to know everything that is going on behind the scenes in recruiting.
  2. Don't say that too loud. Recruits might realize we've been declining since the Clinton Administration.
  3. I was being sarcastic though. But I really hope we get this kid. Same build as a Gregory.
  4. Am I the only one dying to know Schaefer's VIP crystal ball pick?
  5. If you pay the football team, you will more than likely have to pay the water polo squad. Also, if you pay them, make them pay for their education.
  6. Tannor Jones Bell Henry Would not mind these 4 to round out the class. Throw in a Tackle and hip hip.
  7. Not going to lose sleep over this one. Didn't think he was as good as the offer list (and not because he didn't commit here.) Glad we have guys committed that want to play here.
  8. Wonder if he is still visiting Pitt today?
  9. Almost feels like something dirty was going on. Makes no sense that 6-7 4 stars committed to a 4-8 staff. Hope the Williams' were just that good.
  10. That tweet he sent after his visit wasn't intoxicating. Would not be surprised if true.
  11. Probably decomitted from Georgia after he realized UCF>Auburn>Georgia. Figured he wanted to play for a National Champion.
  12. My beer thirty doesn't usually start until 5 on Fridays.
  13. Lucky for you, UCF didn't have to play the Big Boys to hang a National Title banner.
  14. Hindsight, yes. They won the Peach Bowl and beat a quality opponent. But maybe an opponent who had less to play for and not as motivated. You need to tell Utah to hang a 2009 National Champion banner. Bama steamrolled Clemson. That hurts your argument.
  15. I agree, but just arguing for the current system. Adding another game means 2 teams could play potentially 16 games. Cut it to an 11 game season, get rid of playing the Blue Mountain States each year and I am sold.
  16. Name a team that fits number 1 that played in a P5.
  17. Comes down to if the NCAA wants what they and the committee consider the best 4 (or 8) teams, or the conference winners plus a couple at larges. Bama winning against Clemson only helps their case.
  18. You could have a 3 loss team in the title game potentially, no thanks.
  19. Because non P5 teams never lose to P5 teams. Anyone can find a game to fit their argument. Auburn had less to play for. Hate that argument, but some teams throw in the towel when a month ago they were playing for the playoffs. Let's just agree 80 percent of it is coaching, and 20 percent is getting talent into the program. I know I would rather have Texas' or USC's problems long term than UCF's.
  20. The point is that teams like Georgia, Clemson, Alabama, USC, Ohio State, and FSU regularly compete for national championships because they recruit at elite levels. The only consistent outlier might be Wisconsin. Arguing that coaches see something special on most 3 stars is reaching. Frost would take 5 star talent over a project 3 star more times than not.
  21. Forgot squash was just as complicated as football or required the athletic ability of a collegiant athlete to play.
