  1. It works ok when just quoting one person but multiple people is weird. Not a fan.
  2. What is your opinion of Bob Seger's music?

I don't know I wish radio would play more than his greatest hits.

Fire Lake is one of my favorites by him. Chevy overplayed the "Like a Rock" ad campaign a few years ago.

  3. tschu vs. Excel. The race to 1000 +1's.

  4. Come on kids, just 16 more +1's and I hit 1000. If I hit 1000 by Friday at 0900 CST I'll buy the last five visitors to my profile a platinum HB membership.

  5. Not exactly a time expiration as polo said, but the nature of the warnings and history are taken into consideration. A spammer wouldn't make it to his second strike, for instance. We're very happy to be lenient, the more folks around the merrier! But when it's given, you gotta redeem that for us, please. Being a problem causer after repeated extra chances is the easiest way to get the permanent axe. And I hate to see that happen, you guys :\ For those of you on iPhone/Safari -- the 'Full Version' problem seems to be a Safari-only issue, but I'm not sure. Is this happening on other boards that use Invision? For example, try http://community.invisionpower.com/ I logged on to HB using Safari on my iPhone today and the full site loaded just fine. I'm not disputing that other people are having problems, I'm sure they are...but I'm not, at least not with my iPhone but my iPad is a completely different story. iPad+Safari+Huskerboard=death. It loads an indecipherably broken version of the site over half the time. I've tried clearing the browser out, reseting everything and all that jazz but nothing fixes it. Other browsers load HB just fine on my iPad though, it's just a Safari issue.
  6. Will this affect the B1G-ACC challenge in anyway?
  7. Thanks for the explanation and an even bigger thank you for using my proper name unlike some people.
  8. Wow, I hadn't tried accessing HB on my phone yet but that is a deal breaker for me. I hate mobile versions of sites.
  9. Things I've noticed so far: - Warning points are now visible on a user's profile page (visible to that user only). Good concept that was needed but it's displaying things oddly - some entries are repeated and the points don't tally correctly. Here's what I mean: It says I have two points but only shows one in the breakdown. There are also three entries for one event. - Quoting looks different. - The bottom of the page is counting viewers differently than before: Before the update if I was the only person viewing a thread it would read "1 user(s) are reading this topic....1 members, 0 guests, 0 anonymous users" IIRC. - "Members" appears twice at the top of the page now. I can't remember if it was like that before. Both are links to the same page: - We can now see the last time a moderator logged in: - The Full Editor mode looks slightly different I think, I don't remember the "Options" wheel/cog thing before. Maybe it's always been there. What else changed?
  10. I support the moderating team in all of their actions past present and future.

  11. The Ten Commandments weren't put at the capitol building because they are Christian symbols, tschu . . . they were put there because they're laws! Yea sharia is a legal system too.
  12. It was a Satanic group out of NYC that made this happen. Oh how nice of them taking their time and money to meddle in flyover country.
  13. Well I'm just wondering because if they're atheists I think there are better ways of getting what they want, this is just rocking the boat for the sake of it. I do find it funny and would enjoy the reaction it would evoke but I don't think it's that productive.
  14. Hmmmm. Was this an actual satanist group or really a group of atheists? EDIT: IIRC Satanists as we think of them are usually LaVeyan Satanists who are atheistic and don't view Satan as an actual entity but you know what I mean. Are these actual atheistic Satanists or just regular atheists throwing out a straw man statue?
  15. Interesting. I don't know what to think of that. Just a messy situation all around. Syria, just like Iraq, is a country that never should have existed.
  16. Like knapplc pointed out, 90% turned over already and on pace for 100% (last I checked). The deadliest have already been destroyed aboard a US flagged cargo ship. Aren't we still seeing stories out of Syria about chemical weapons being used? Wouldn't that seem to indicate that he hasn't destroyed/exported his stock or like knapp said the key word might be "declared" inventory...and yea I get that the reports may not be accurate or that the rebels could conceivably make their own. Not arguing, just axing.
  17. I haven't been following it that closely I'll admit that, just snippits here and there. If he's really ramped up his shipments in the past three months that's a good thing. The Obama administration said 5% at the end of January http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/01/31/dragging-their-feet-us-scrambles-to-persuade-syria-to-honor-chemical-weapons/.
  18. What dictator gave up WMDs? Because if you mean Assad that didn't really go as planned... How so? He's been dragging his feet and has missed every deadline so far. He's turned in about 5% of what he was supposed to IIRC. He clearly just cut a deal to get us to shut up and had no intention of carrying it through.
  19. What dictator gave up WMDs? Because if you mean Assad that didn't really go as planned...
  20. Antibiotic resistance on the rise: also why finishing a full course of antibiotics and not going to the doctor and whining until you get antibiotics for viruses matters. I've never understood why people visit the doctor for a cold or flu. There is nothing they can do.
  21. Two week old map of control, not too much has changed since then except for the regime taking more control of Homs and more trouble kicking up around Damascus.
  22. So I guess the moral outrage has petered out on this one? More or less. People are just kind of numb to it.
  23. Wouldn't they have to prove that Females accused of sexual assault and punished by Universities are treated more harshly than males? Because I really doubt that's the case. Not sure how females are being discriminated against here. Not treating sexual assault as serious crimes is a shame but it's not unequal treatment of genders. Female sex crime victims are treated with much more respect and compassion...and have more resources available to them, than males IMO.
