  1. it's the neck stickers, or whatever, that really takes him over the top? why would you accentuate such a jowly gullet? Uhhhh, seriously? It was the neck stickers put him over the top for you? You my friend, have a high tolerance for idiocy Uhhh, seriously? It was the mention of the neck stickers that put it over the top for you? You my friend, have a shallow sense of humor Uhhh, seriously? You didn't know I was being facetious? Your sense of humor is apparently much more shallow than mine. I never knew neck stickers could so thoroughly divide the Husker Fan base, I believe I have discovered the ultimate weapon. Time to get this news to the print shops in Madison

YES!!! This game scared me for awhile but looks like a win

  3. @ Minnesota: Easy Win, Gophers are bad, no further comment neccesary. Michigan State: Potential to be very close game, I say NU win because of the confidence gained from a beatdown of the Gophers, playing at home and the fact that MSU will be coming off a tough stretch of games. MSU's got a good defense though and they're the best team in Michigan in my opinion. Northwestern Also has potential to be close. This game is sandwiched in between Indiana and Rice for them so they're going to be ready. Always play tough. Another close win. @ Penn State Win, they're weak. Really weak. @Michigan UM's coming off what should be a tough trip to Champaign and preparing for the Game. I have confidence that NU's defense will be up to snuff by then and someone else will have provided a blueprint for stopping shoelace. This team really isn't as scary as the media portrays them, they're turnover prone and their offense is one person. I'll give NU the nod. Iowa Win, I have respect for Ferentz but this isn't his best team with losses already to ISU and PSU. They'll be pretty beat up by the time they get to Lincoln and the Huskers will win. Don't dismiss this team though. They're tough as hell at home. I think 11-1 is attainable, though I'll be conservative and say 10-2. Probably going to Indianapolis.
  4. Hopefully you don't change too much. I love big ten football but there's only so many Iowa-Penn state type games a guy can watch.
  5. I remember seeing him on abc last night, threw up a little in my mouth.
  6. Thats how I felt about Nebraska which is problematic. It's difficult to have a second team in a conference.
  7. Since I post here a fair amount I'll give this a shot. Adjusted for my fanitude of course... 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? Not a member but I used to root for the Huskers in Big XII play. Not a hardcore fan or anything but they were my horse in the race if you will. Maybe its because of the similarity in the uniforms, maybe because I didn't like the Big XII south, I dunno. I've been a Badger fan my whole life though. 2) What/who led you to The Nation? erm my remote? As far as UW my parents and grandparents are alumni. I was born in Madison, used to go to games and a cousin was a walk on and is currently a Graduate Assistant. My family moved south when I was a teenager and due to family constraints (my mother was ill at the time) I actually earned my undergrad from an SEC school, which will remain unnamed. I love my alma mater, I'm a booster and try to go to games when I can, though they've never been very good historically, but for the purposes of this board I'm a Badger. I was born one and I'll die one. 3) Where are you from originally? Born in Madison, grew up in the Northwoods. I've lived in many places though. 4) Where do you live now? Manhattan, Kansas 5) Favorite Husker memory? 2009 Gator Bowl 6) Worst Husker memory? 2009 Big XII Championship 7) Number of home games attended? Would like to go, maybe next year! 8) Number of away games attended? --- 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? That corn hat is kind of cool. Reminds me of my cheesehead. 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) My living room with a beer. 11) Favorite all time player? Ahman Green! 12) WCO or Option? There's a certain nostalgic beauty in the Option 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Dunno, Byrne had a better tenure right? 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Lil Red is creepy if you're not a kid...Herbie's respectable though. 15) Favorite Husker play? Don't have one 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Leinenkugel! 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) I honestly don't remember but I've been reading the board since last summer's realignment craze. Any Pictures I'd wish to share? Sure, this weekend I visited a cold war relic near my new home here in Kansas. I give to you, the M65 Atomic Cannon, with a range of more than 20 miles it was designed to launch nuclear devices toward what the Army feared might be tides of communist soldiers assaulting the frontiers of Korea and Germany. Never fired in anger and obsolete almost upon manufacture, the guns and their munitions were often commanded by company grade officers, which is kind of scary really. Only a handful remain in existence and this beauty overlooks I-70 silently guarding Ft. Riley's Marshall Army Airfield. I really enjoy this board. I post on several others that don't quite compare to the atmosphere you all have created. I'm a member of a fairly large board for my alma matter that is far too large and impersonal for its own good and other forums I've encountered are too cliquey and exclusive. You guys have the perfect balance. I like the Huskers (don't love, I won't exagerate) and would like to maintain a presence in these here parts...give me time, I'll grow on you.
  8. I only want in because I want a prediction on record for a game against Minnesota so disregard it for the actual contest. Nebraska: 56 Minnesnowta:7 Rushing: 285 Passing 205
  9. Haha, but we've seen this Michigan last year, maybe they'll collapse soon. Other than ND they haven't played anyone, and sure their defense is improved but Denard IS the offense. Next week is their first real test. They might be hurting by the time the Huskers get into town.
  10. What do you have against invalid children? This Damn, I had no idea they were up 6 on you guys in the series. Yup, a testament to how good Minnesota used to be and how horribly bad Wisconsin has been through out history. how did we not have a trophy/rivalry name with kansas? oh, we went 91-23 against them. Keeping in mind that most of my NU knowledge comes from espn and wiki....are any of your rivalries named or associated with trophies? I'd think Oklahoma would but I didn't see anything about it. just good 'ole scumbag mizzou has a bell trophy thing. Ok well hopefully the powers that be don't decide to invent a trophy for whatever rivalry games you develop in the next few years. The one they gave Michigan St. and Penn state is just awful. Talk about artificial tradition.
  11. We will drop one along our road stretch. I've been through too many tumultuous years to be so bold as to think we'll be undefeated. I've circled MSU, they stole one last year and I can just feel it happening again since we drew them in East Lansing again. With OSU what you see is what you get. Show up prepared or lose but I think we can win that. You guys will make it but you may need some help. Hopefully MSU beats Michigan next week then you beat MSU at home. It'll pretty much be yours with that.

  13. While its important to keep things in perspective you still put up +400 yards on a top 15 defense. More than 100 more than last week. Thats something to be proud of. The test for everyone in the conference will be MSU's #1 D. I really don't want to play them. They can be nasty at home.

  16. I learned about Lavonte David. That guy can play some football.
  17. Does anyone understand Transformers? I've spent the weekend trying to understand the many plot lines and backstories that make up this franchise after I watched the second film on FX Friday night. What the heck is going on in these movies?...superpowerful robots from another planet come to Earth to fight over some kind of crystal but they turn into things to prevent people from finding out what they are yet everyone seems to know they exist? I've watched a couple of the original episodes on youtube and read about it on wiki and I still don't get it. I don't understand the story and furthermore I don't understand its popularity. Whats the deal?
  18. If there's any team I dislike more than OSU its Minnesota, destroy them. Use this bye to get tickets for every seat in TCF. I'll be rooting for the Huskers in that one too
  19. ah ha I called it. I frickin called it. You're all welcome
  20. hahaha, yea it matches pretty well with that change in momentum looking back at it <<<<--- I know this smiley doesn't apply at all to my post but I saw it and wanted to use it because it is super awesome
  21. True there's that, that and hatred for Ohio State
