  1. I'd put my money on Bo with a month to prepare. Ye of little faith.
  2. You know we had a complete game in a big win when someone is picking apart small things like the OP just did. SMH.
  3. It would throw the Spartan D off, from the standpoint that a Wildcat QB is easier to identify from the shotgun instead of under center. Interesting.
  4. Do I sound like a man who would have five dadgum charges from a cat emporium? Dadgum?
  5. Well said. MSU had quite a bit of luck on their side again Bucky.
  6. Anyone see Jason Seahorn and Tom Luigenbill (sp?) on espn picking this game? Seahorn picked Michigan State and Luigenbill picked up to win with a heavy dose of option football. I think option football bodes well instead of running right at them. "Option" Gholston on the end of the LOS and make him make a decision on how that play plays out.
  7. Because the sun shines on a dog's ass even once in awhile.
  8. Running the football, being opportunistic with the downfield passing game, and being physical. We don't have a tag on our scheme identity, but the identity of our offense is being physical.
  9. They were opportunistic. I concur on that one. But how many times can those things happen again. They were sky-high for the Wisconsin game. If anyone is going to be opportunistic and create those kind of opportunities, it will be us.
  10. Don't bet the farm for us to cover. It'll be a 1-3 point win if we do win. 17-14 is my prediction.
  11. It's not the time. It's the fact it's on the Big Ten Network. Our game against Minnesota was on ABC. Are they saying Northwestern isn't a good enough of an opponent for national coverage, but Minnesota is? I don't get it. ABC selected the Minnesota game before the season started. At least one of our conference games has to be on BTN. This is the only game left that makes sense for ABC/ESPN to let slide to BTN. Penn State and Michigan are going to be big games that need to be on ABC or ESPN and Iowa is already on ABC. Also, there is nothing wrong with BTN. They do are great job covering the game and the picture quality is usually very well. Hell yeah. I concur.
  12. A few more to add -Take care of the football. Nothing would be worse in this game than to drive the length of the field and fumble in the red zone. -No stupid penalties. We're in some sh#t if a few penalties extend a couple of MSU drives.
  13. We've already been featured on gameday as well.
  14. Their offense ranks 66th in total yards and 58th in scoring. Also, the zebras will be keeping an eye on Gholston for his cheap play. Add your own reasons why we win as well, or lose if you so feel that way. GBR and there's gonna be a good one comin' on this Saturday.
  15. I played for Gretna and played against Trevor Robinson, Kevin Thomsen, Trevor Roach, and C.J. Zimmerer. I dropped Zimmerer for a 9 yard loss back in freshman football. As a 5'7 175 pound nose guard, that was a hell of an accomplishment. Everyone else thoroughly kicked my ass. Robinson's technique sucked, but Kevin Thomsen was an absolute hoss when Elkhorn lined him up at fullback. Try to grab a hold of his legs and wait for the cavalry to show up. Played with Dwight Jones who was a walk-on lineman in 09 & 10.
  16. So, um...I'm gonna need you to come into work this saturday. Yeaaaaah....
  17. "say meow? hell, i can say moo. for twenty bucks, i'll call someone a chicken fu&*#r. license and registration, chicken fu&*#r."
  18. Or like the ugly girl that would not take no for answer from me. I knew her for 3 days (met her at a party) and my damned midwestern hospitality damn near bit me in the ass. She was so desperate that she started saying things like she would do my laundry and pay part of my student loan payments. At the advice of my brother, I didn't walk away from that one, I went full stride ran my ass out of that creepy situation.
  19. Post how your favorite moment of Nebraska Football, whether it be a game, a season, or just watching the game. This is not a hold hands, sing around the campfire post, but rather, a post for the sake of possibly raising some morale. GBR One of my favorites has to be the 2009 Holiday Bowl. After a rough season in 2009 complete with a few triumphs, and a few heartbreaks, it was vindication to have such a strong final showing of the year. I was at the Big 12 title game vs Texas, drove home 12 hours the next day completely miserable, but proud. I couldn't help but think why we couldn't have tried that offensive game plan vs Texas. Two more absolutely have to be the 10-3 game vs OU, and beating Clemson in the Gator Bowl. I'm a younger fan (20 almost 21) so the glory days have been long since passed by for me. GBR, let's circle the wagons, and beat the hell outta the buckeyes. Husker f'ing' Power.
