      You joke about paying recruits, but seriously why would he have to. He can pretty much guarantee a shot at the championship and no one is developing more draft picks. That's attractive to the type of players he wants, and is part of why he's so good.

    So a high school out in South Carolina removed all American flags and refused anyone bringing in an American flag......what is this world coming to???

      The way the article seems to read to me the principals reasoning make sense. Evidently he believes the students are using the flag as a prop more than anything and are not showing the proper respect. Seriously though what do they need a full size flag at a football game in the stands for?

    How big of a weasel is Perlman?? Saying basically Pelini didnt want the job and that he didnt want the Chancellor job? Dude relished being in the spotlight and having the power. He was basically showing how he is just as unclassy as Pelini with his final address. I think we are lucky to finally get rid of the hopefully last, and largest, toxin of the last 10-15 years in this program and institution.

      Count, no offense but athletics at a university don't mean jack sh#t where it really counts. UNL is is over a Billion dollar enterprise. I'm pretty sure external research funding is now greater than all athletic income. I'm pretty sure Perlman has pushed that to be a major focus. I'm proud of my diploma not because of the football team, but because UNL is a respected institution. And Perlman has been part of that.

      Looking at the growth of the university in the last 15 years, Perlman did a great job. Athletic success be damned, I want him concerned about making the university as a whole better.

    I live just north of Detroit. I ordered a package that shipped from just south of Detroit. Why the hell is usps shipping it all the way to Columbus, OH and then back up here?

      Rather than paying someone at the post office to sit and sort mail for local mail, its easier to send all the mail out to a sorting facility and then have it come back with all the other incoming mail. It sounds stupid but its the most efficient way

      Everybody in every state says there isn't enough stocking. It's called law of diminishing returns. If stocking more equals more fish, then why don't farmers just plant 3x as many seeds as they do. Doesn't more seeds equal more corn?
