I don't like the idea. Maryland is not so great at Football now, Rutgers seems to be peaking a little bit, but over all I think it would make our conference weaker by moving them in. Like many of you have , I would not mind Notre Dame, but we all know that isn't going to happen. Just leave the BIG as it is for now.

During the Notre Dame Boston College game on ABC saturday it was mention by someone who called into the broadcast that if everythings goes as it is that our Cornhuskers will likely play Notre Dame in the Rose Bowl. I understand we still have to beat Minnestoa and Iowa and win the BIG championship game. But have any of you in Nebraska heard this possibility? I don't really care, it would be nice to win the BIG. But as far as a Bowl opponent I just hope whom ever we play that we play a good game and do not have to come from behind to win. My heart and soul can't take these comeback wins.

Oh, I forgot to mention, a PASS RUSH would be nice in the 2nd half. All season long I have seen QBs just sit back and eat us alive, today is not much differnent.

Overall playing ok game, I did not see last weeks game. But is seems we need to clean it up a bit, and go back to what was working on offense early in the game. I just hope we come out in the second half on fire and take care of this game. I would hate to lose control of maybe playing in BIG title game. My two cents.

I for one at this point do not care about point spreads. My only concern is which Nebraska shows up to play. If they are not flat and limit turnovers 3 points is possible, but i think losing by 3 scores is also a strong possilbity. This team seems lost to me. I hope I am wrong. But I sure hope to beat Michigan, last years game made me sick.

It seems to me that our defense can not get it done, its getting old its like the UCLA game all over again no pass rush and no containment of mobile QB

The bottom line here is because of our hiccup against Northwestern we have no choice but to win this one on Saturday and the next two after that or we have no shot at the championship game. This game is going to be difficult I think no matter the state of mind of our opponent. Bo and our team need to be prepared to play a hard game get the win put it behind them and start getting ready for Michigan. Just my thoughts. GO BIG RED

I'm with you Chaddy. I also believe that Bo will have our guys ready or at least he better after that turd we left on the field against Northwestern. I also feel that even with the chaos in happy valley Penn state will be wanting to play a solid game to take their minds off what is happening at their school, just don't know if they can make it last the entire game. But make no mistakes about it because of our unexpected loss to Northwestern we can not afford to lose this one or the next two for that matter if we want any chance to play in the BIG championship game. It really did seem like a man either desperate to hold on or completely detached from reality. I was thinking the exact same thing, more important things then coaching now. Can't beleive he does not understand this.

Not Joe's players anymore.. Just sayin. Yes True. They are no longer his players, because I see as I write this that Joe has been shown the door. But in the mind of the players he still might be, another angle would be that the players would be extremley let down and embarrased by his lack of action, anyway you slice it this is a bad situation for all involved especially the victims.

I think we just came out and had a bad game, it happens. I don't think we play down to teams. The game against NW was a game we could have won if we would have held on to the ball and like all games a few lucky bounces of the ball. Because if you remember we fumbled against MSU and Minn also, but we recovered the ball less damage or impact on the outcome. Sure we lost last weekend but NW a 4-5 team is better then their record shows. I because of my location in the country watched the wildcats three times and each time they lost but they were in the game until the end for the most part. They are a good coached team and they play hard, they kind of remind me of the service academies, they don't quit, they gave Michigan a hell of a game until they finally ran out of gas. Does the loss disapoint me sure it does but the season is not over if we take care of our next three games good things can still happen for us. Keep the faith and go big red.

I beleive that Joe's players are going to come out and play with a lot of emotion, because players and coach's have this belief of that they are a family. The Penn St team is probably going to play hard and in support of their coach they will want him to go out a winner. Just my thoughts.

I think we should cover if we come out and play like we need to. I am a little worried that we might come out flat after a big win against Michigan State. Lets hope they don't take the wildcats lightly. Another good win for us and help us continue to "right the Ship" after the disapointment of the Wisconsin game earlier in the season. GO BIG RED

This can be a dangerous game for us. The same thing that happened to Michigan State can happen to us if we overlook these guys. We should be able to handle Northwestern if we do not take them lightly, play hard just like an other game. As the other posters mentioned don't get over cofindent and don't look past them, this is real easy for teams to do if they think the opponent is not a good team.
