  1. No, not necessarily. But there's a definite correlation between joining an internet message board right after a loss and coming across as a spastic misfit. Ok, well that pretty much clears it up then.

  3. I can't remember my kids names half the time much less some guy who wants us all to believe he has some special power that allows him to see the future of the B1G. Dumber.
  4. So you have to have over 100 posts to be an expert or have a profound opinion? Just asking.
  5. Maybe we will see the same fire from the actual players who play this weekend.
  6. FLU, You were Embarrassed by the guys on the field? These guys texting you got you embarrassed? I can show you examples of what I would be embarrassed about and it is not a situation I had any control over! Embarrassing for me is waking up in the morning and finding a 300 pound plus woman in my bed and knowing my friends know about it! Embarrassing for me is having to take a pee and going into an alley and whipping it out and that ONE COP just comes walking by! Embarrassing for me is being at a party with some high end people and Sharting myself and having to leave, never to return! Embarrassing for me was the time I called the woman Sir,because I really thought she was a skinny man and having her correct me! But your embarrassed about what 22 players did in a Football game and getting text messages??? WOW. I'm not sure how someone even responds to half the stuff you say on here. Where do you get this stuff?
  7. Maybe he wanted to move to receiver and the coaches wouldn't let him.
  8. First time I've heard his name in the last two weeks sooooo...
  9. He's willing to move to wr because he knows he's not ever going to play qb for us. He's not played wr and he's now going to learn that position during the season in the hopes of landing pt someday. The issue isn't with the player, the issue is with our staff who continues to move players all over the place in the hopes that their athletic talent will overcome their lack of experience at that position. It's not JFl, it's college football. This hasnt worked for us and it won't in the future. You can point to turner as a converted qb to wr but he still looks clueless out there 50% of the tIme. If this was something that happened once a year or so then fine, but it's a frequent tactic this staff uses.
  10. Becks only comment after the game should have been, "I'm sorry I sucked as a coach tonight." Period
  11. Another position move, of course, that will fix it! We continue to recruit players for one spot and then move them somewhere they haven't played. And we wonder why we can't get ahead?
  12. Hope you've got all the answers everyone else is missing on here! Welcome.
  13. Crazy idea here, but how about letting the kid choose his own team. If he wants to be a husker so be it and you can tell him about the "glory days" and the ins and outs of the program. But not everyone chooses that path, but it is their choice As long as its not Notre Dame, Colorado or Texas I think I'm ok with that coaching!
  14. Fellow Husker Dad's This hit me in the middle of church this morning(yes my mind wandered for a brief moment). Last night I spent the night outside on our patio watching the game with my 14 year old and 13 year old sons as my wife and two daughters were gone. I watched as both the boys got mad, yelled at the tv(and the coaches), asked me if i thought we could come back...etc etc. My oldest asked when we would get back to the way we used to be(he doesn't even know what that's like other than what I've told him and videos he's watched.). I came inside after the game and saw both their NU jerseys sitting on the kitchen table, they couldn't even wait until they got to their room to show their frustration....this is what hit me this morning...our family has another generation of rabid Husker fans who's emotions are high when we win and sometimes(most times) low when we lose. Better than that, we are enjoying being rabid fans together...now that's pretty cool. I remember going through much of the 70's and 80's watching with my dad, grandpa, and many many cousins etc...emotions were always high and I just couldn't believe we, "couldn't win the big game." Then, the 90's came and I was able to ride that wave as a teenager...remember busting my dad in the nose as i jumped in the air and hit him in the face on accident during a crucial win...I remember dancing on the pool table of a rented pavilion as we watched our boys dismantel our friend mr Sapp...etc.... See it wasn't all the wins and loses that I remember most(although I do remember many many details)...However, It's the times we spent together during the wins and loses..showing all sorts of emotions...I can't wait to experience many more of these opportunities both good and bad.... Here's to things in perspective! GBR!
  15. I'm not even speaking to my wife yet. LOL
  16. You don't really think anyone is going anywhere do you? I drive 7 hours to the home games have tix for three away games and want to throw all of them in the fire pit currently....but I'm not going anywhere and neither is anyone else. Actually, that was the beginning of this thread. People talking about taking a break from the Huskers because they are tired of being "let down". I know that "true fans" won't go anywhere. But we do have fair weather fans just like every other team in the nation and they are starting to come out and say that they are ready to jump off of the bandwagon for a while. Lots of adult beverages make people say lots of stupid things. I was thinking that too, until I saw that everyone was posting this morning. I'm not saying people don't enjoy a beverage with breakfast now and then, but after last nights game, I'm thinking that most people enjoyed those beverages last night. After seeing that mess of a game, wouldn't surprise me if people hadn't stopped drinking.

  19. I'm just saying, I'm really tired of the reinventing process ...but I get your point.
  20. And how many times are we going to say that? It seems every year the same old story. "The young guys will make a difference when they are ready." The young guys aren't making a difference and haven't made a difference for some time.
  21. 5 minutes into the game my 14 year old son says,"we need to get some guys who get fired up like we used to have". Seems that he gets it, not sure why the coaches can't. I wonder if all our "great freshman" would be fired up if they had a chance to come in and make a difference? Looked to me like UCLA's Freshman did.
