  1. No spring game, so no halftime drug free pledge. Does that mean they can do them until next years halftime?
  2. I doubt they cancel it. I doubt they cancel or postpone it. There would have to be tornadoes on the ground before they'd do that. Looking back can be humerous at times.
  3. You let the wife make game day decisions? Would not happen in my Big RED home. T_O_B G>B>R If the wife is making YOUR BIG RED desicions, it sounds like she may need to wake up with sticky hair.
  4. Not seeing the sarcasm here. You were dead serious, and that is a shame.
  5. Dont you have some cheese to grade? No I finished yesterday morning...just supervising the yogurt cultures at the moment so I've got some time to post, thanks for looking out though. Finished yesterday? May as well start on the fumunder cheese then. That should keep you busy for a few more hours.
  6. This would be the start of a downward spiral, IMHO. Bo or NU? Good question. Probably both now that you mention it. Originally, I was thinking Bo...
  7. This would be the start of a downward spiral, IMHO.
  8. I'm 51, so some of these go back a little further, mid to late 70's, when concert tickets were $6.50 and you got to see three bands. KISS (first concert ever '76) Ted Nugent Aerosmith Nazareth Cheap Trick AC/DC became my favorite band of all time(they opened for Cheap Trick '77) ZZ Top x4 Iron Maiden x6 Billy Idol Pat Benetar Van Halen (w/Sammy) Sammy Hagar x4(solo) Whitesnake Black Sabbath (w/Ronnie James Dio) Ozzy Journey Aldo Nova Triumph Blue Oyster Cult Heart Police Staind Creed Metalica Probably another 50 or more bands, but I cant remember at this time. That is, I'm SURE, due to the concerts in the '70s......Whoa dude, give me the chips.........
  9. The best band mentioned here!!! Where will you be seeing them? My dad used to drive tour buses and had them for a couple of tours in the 80's. They F*CKING ROCK!!!!!!!!
  10. That's taken out of context. He said "It's not about talent," Pelini said. "The NFL is full of talent. You have to create a culture of success." If you think about it like that, he is correct. Creating the "culture of success" is what seperates the NFL teams from each other. Even in D1, the top 6-8 teams have all the talent in the world. What seperates them from each other?
  11. I don't think the "young" guns were given a fair chance to prove anything at game time. Except for a couple of diamond formations, Green barely seen the field, except from the sidelines. I am hoping that we (our coaches) choose a 2nd stringer and give him the rock for at least a series at a time. Not the occasional carry. There is no way to get your feet under you, no way to get that feel for the game.
  12. No but instead of the constant complaining like a spoiled 13 year old girl, how about coming up with a viable option... Don't be afraid to be part of the solution Constant complaining? Where do you get that from. I said earlier that, my first comments on this subject were pointed at those that think Bo is great. He is not great, YET! I am ON Bo's side. I like Bo. I don't know what else to say to make my point any clearer. The "viable solution" in my book, is TIME. What was the "13 year old girl" comment for.
  13. Yep, 9 wins is mediocre, seems to me that mediocre would be something like 6 wins on a consistent basis or 5. Uh, NO? 5-6 wins for NU would mean we suck, just like the BC era. Up to 9 wins, means that we aren't any better than 1/2 the teams in the FBS. Tell me this, "What do you get for winning an average of 9 games a year"? Answer= NOTHING Then riddle me this Copernicus, how do you recommend we remedy this problem? Unless you know of a coach that has won at least one national title, that isn't name Schnellenberger, I think we've got the best we're going to get. Again with the snide remarks. I would remedy this by giving Bo more time. Period. It takes time. Unless you are in some sort of HOT recruiting bed, it takes time. Patience Danielson. And yes I had to look up Copernicus..............
  14. Yep, 9 wins is mediocre, seems to me that mediocre would be something like 6 wins on a consistent basis or 5. Mediocrity.......Isn't that why FS was let go and BC brought in? How many games were we winning then?? As a matter of fact, what have we won in the last 4 years?? Why don't you huddle up with the kid that wants Callahan back, so you guys can wallow in your 6 or 7 win seasons. Not to mention the games you lose will be by a double digit amount starting with nothing less than a 2. Bo's not perfect, but he's the best we've got for right now, unless one of you geniuses has the supercoach gestating in a petri dish in their basement. Do you always have to be an a$$hat?
  15. So we should follow the Pedey tradition, fire Bo for winning only 9 or 10 games and bring in the next Clownahan? Haha....we do something that outrageously stupid "again" (twice in a decade), move over Minnesota.....we're taking your place. A guy would think we would learn someday. Last time no good coaches would touch us with a ten foot pole after firing Frank/Bo for winning 10 games. I remember U. Meyer laughing at how crazy that was. So, 6th or 7th down list of coaches we wanted we finally found someone who would take the job. Surprise, surprise....a just fired NFL reject. Gee, how shocking that ended up as a total disaster. Do we "really" want to do that again? bshirt.....you surprise me. Do you really think that is what I want? Hell no it isn't. I think Bo will turn that corner soon enough. This is about those that think Bo's sh*t don't stink. They think he is doing a great job and he is not. Look at his hires and his yearly records. I will take this any day of the week and twice on Sunday, than to go back to what we had with BC. That dude was scum of the earth. In no way shape or form do we want to do that again.

  18. Couldn't agree more. Bo is way overrated. He has shown absolutely nothing. He has only brought us back to mediocrity, nothing more.
  19. Hope he did and I hope he gets it. Bo would make a wonderful Buc coach, because right now he sucks as a Husker coach. IMHO!
  20. "What are your sources"? How many times does anyone tell who "their sources" are? If they did say who they were, they wouldn't be their "sources" for very long. I see that question a lot, and it has to be the dumbest question on any message board. Take the "my sources tell me" stuff with a grain of salt.
  21. To some degree, this is what is the most saddening about what has transpired over the last decade. I don't want to get into whether he should have been removed or not because that dead horse is getting sick and tired of being beaten. However, it appeared that Solich took the reigns during his time. When it was time for him to hang them up, most of us in this part of the state anyway assumed Gill would then be handed the reigns. For the most part, this is what made us unique. While other programs were always chasing the hot coaches, we just kept plowing along with a loyal staff. In the end, I believe this is why TO had the success he had at the end of his career. You make a good point about loyalty. The problem was that TO didn't have anyone qualified to take his place. If Frank and Turner were his two best options, well it's no surprise as to why NU went into the toilet the past decade. And before anyone goes and tries to turn this into more than what it is, I'm not calling either of them bad coaches. They are MAC level HC's, not elite program coaches and unfortunately I'm starting to think that is Bo's ceiling too. When you have to go on a national level to find the type of coach that NU needs, the only way to get loyalty is to buy it. NU has the money and if/when Bo leaves, we need to pony up the $$$$$ to get an established HC. I hear Mack Brown is available I just threw up in my mouth a little.
  22. You are basing alot on nothing. Carl being gone is the only legit thing about your post and the rest is being speculated without proof. The staff Bo has put together so far cannot be judged after one year. It will take a couple So, when I see smoke I should just cover my eyes and pretend everything is alight? Sorry, i am not an osterich. No its better to throw sh!t at the wall & see what sticks. I thought it was throw spaghetti against the wall and if it sticks it's done.
  23. It makes me laugh when people reply simply to point out typing errors. Grammar policing at its best. And because I think some of our coaching staff is Conf-USA caliber, I am a troll? Pump that sunshine! Why is it so hard for someone to be a fan, yet not be clouded by red colored glasses? I think you raise some valid points FWIW Sadly the teams we're trying to compete with in the league (Michican, Ohio State, Wisconsin) have strong & experienced staffs that keep getting stronger. We have a staff filled with inexperience at all positions, including head coach. How many years of coaching does it take to claim "experience"?
  24. Not to be a dick, but you start a lot of weird threads. That's all I have to add to this one. Thank you and good night! Not to be a dick, but what would a good thread be?? A thread that one of the clique brothers start? We can't have any that just start conversations? Oh I almost forgot, if a thread is started by someone, other than the dick clique, it is stupid, and you get nominated for the douchebag award. I'm not part of the dick clique, it just seems that he starts a lot of threads that ramble on about random stuff. Just an observation from a proud member of the douchebag all of fame. Well done sir!
